Really, actual discussion about a relevant team in the west and their potential for this upcoming season is a "terrible" topic for off season?

Lemme guess, I had them beating the team you associate yourself with and that made you upset. Au can beat any team on their schedule with the right QB and some good fortune. Really, only the @Bama game, would the majority say they've (and just about every team in the nation) got no shot at winning.

What was so terrible about this thread? Please post another topic that is worthy of off-season discussion.

I did post a thread worthy of off-season discussion, and it got whacked by a butthurt mod.

Au can compete IF Gus gets his head out of his arse when we are in the redzone.

So puzzling, too. Gus betting his future on this guy. Hope it works out.

If J. Robinson stays healthy, we will be a force running the ball. That's something no one is talking about because of the QB situation and the DC change.

So what studs does AU have at OT?

That was the point of my post right?

Their hard talent everywhere but the question marks at QB and Tackle temper ones expectations.

Should they find competent to very good play at those positions they can be the surprise team of the league.

I have no idea who they have taking over the tackle spots.

Based on last year no one would consider them a legitimate threat to win the SECW

Go ahead and book them to the CFP then? Followed by a couple 6-7 win seasons?

One tackle spot should be ok, the other spot has me personally worried. I believe we have the QB play to win 8 or 9 games, but as any fan would I am hoping they exceed my expectations and we win double digits and have a shot at the conference title.

Based on last year's results, on paper I'd pick them to go 4-8. So, given that its Auburn and when you pick them to tank, they kick arse, reverse that record and 8-4 is probably pretty close.

Guess you didn't watch a single AU game then.

That little QB is like 140 pounds, and a horrible passing QB. He'll be broken in half.

Pat Dye used to say that if you have a good running game, a good defense, and a solid kicking game, you have a chance. I know that Auburn has at least one of those three (kicking game), defense could be good if a couple of things fall into place, and if they can somehow muster up even half of the running game they had in 2013, they COULD (not will) an upset or two.

That being said, I still think they lose about 4-5 games in the regular season

All you need is grit. And 1000 of them. A Lil cheese, butter, fresh black pepper, then you have breakfast.

I hope JFIII is the guy. Mainly because if he is playing I believe we will run the ball better. White can win 8-10 games in the SEC. If he'd stayed healthy last season we would have won 8-9 games. You'd have to assumed a guy like that will improve despite talent limitations.
