The only place in the entire state I've been addressed as a N____ and had it meant as a pejorative was Austin, TX.

I'm guessing this argument has been had at length before somewhere else on the rant or is a common criticism so you think I'm trolling or flaming or whatever. I'm not on here all the time so I haven't seen it but that's fine, I'll just wait until it comes up again and an Aggie explains it.

this happened at the university? or at a redneck bar? i find it hard to believe that ut is a racist institution. maybe i'm off base but it sounds very wierd to me.

I mean, I'm hardly saying TAMU is unblemished, but come on, just because a city labels themselves as "progressive" doesn't mean they don't have issues.
According to the stereotypes, I should have had a much more racially tinged time at A&M, but I was on campus for 4.5 years and didn't have one single issue in that regard.
Was on the t.u. campus under an hour and had that incident.
I'm sure others have stories going the other way, but come back when someone has a bleach bomb story about A&M in this century or sees a rebel flag flying in an official capacity on campus
