Never occurred to you that you could just do a Google search?
Aggies went off to fight in ww2 and the people in austin stayed home and sipped tea. Thats where it originated

Thought it had something to do with WWII (or some other war) and a lot of Aggies going to war while the UT alums stayed at home and sipped tea.

Way back when Texas folks were the elitists that typically were city kids that looked down on everyone. A&M had the rural kids and we were military and engineering focused. Thus the saying was that that the Texas folks were up in Austin "sipping their tea" while Aggies were out doing the real work. Thus "teasips" or "sips" evolved.
Of course now both schools are demographically far more similar but the primary cultural difference is the same. Texas is still generally a bunch of elitist assholes that think their shite doesn't stink and everyone should bow before them. Aggies are still generally tied to our roots as well.

I like tea. In fact, I'm drinking caffeine free Pineapple Chamomile at this moment....
Very relaxing.

As much grief as I give vAggies I would rather have them than Texas.
