I just read the statement from his wife and it’s sickening.

That’s what I’m wondering. If the fund is to invest in Ukraine projects, how does that pay us back for the billions Biden already gifted away?
re: Is DOGE's emphasis on merit and efficiency more important than Veteran Preference?
Posted by BamaTiger00 on 2/25/25 at 11:58 am
Full disclosure. I used to do a significant amount of federal contracting before my firm went another direction. I also have good buddies who are currently Fed employees. We all are all deep conservatives that voted for Trump 3 times.
But please explain how DOGE has had any emphasis on merit thus far? They have not. It’s been nothing but low-hanging blanket cuts with no analysis whatsoever on employee performance. And it isn’t like this would be difficult and/or cost additional time and $ - all Fed employees have periodic performance appraisals. Maybe that’s next. Who knows. But thus far, DOGE’s activities have had nothing to do with merit or even really efficiency for that matter.

No one is back pedaling. Trump confirmed today. Respond or you’re fired. It’s not that hard. Answer an email. They’re just looking for a response of any kind. Anyone complaining deserves to be fired.
You couldn’t be more wrong. It was a poor move and a shite show in implementation

I just got this for PS5 and find it pretty challenging. I die a lot and admit I’m not good at the combat mechanics. I’m not a big fan of them. Very frustrating and difficult to pull off. Anyone else?

Let’s not lose the plot MAGA. Our beef is with the politicians and shot callers, not the body of the fed gov at large.
Too late. The vast majority of this board is giddy watching federal employees lose their jobs, with no understanding of what they do or how important that job may or may not be. Despite the fact that 1/3 of Fed employees are veterans and that a very large amount of feds are conservatives just like us (several hundred thousand who voted for Trump) that are getting caught up in this.

False. 85% of federal employees live OUTSIDE of DC. I swear, some of you rattle off false claims just to be part of the conversation and you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.
re: Democrats look to government funding as their leverage against Trump, will we finally get

Serious question. Isn’t a shutdown good for fed employees deemed nonessential? Basically a free vacation with guaranteed backpay?
re: 20k federal employees accepted Trump’s buyout

Still good though. I have 2 buddies who are feds (both are very MAGA) and they complain about the judges and higher ups in their agencies that are retirement age, have lowered productivity, but don’t want to leave. And it’s been difficult to force them out. So anyone leaving, retirement or not, is a good start.

Builder Recs and Cost for Bedroom Addition - Northshore
Posted by BamaTiger00 on 12/31/24 at 6:45 pm
We’re thinking about adding on to our house. Covington area. Nothing fancy. Just a simple bedroom extension (700-900 sqft). New concrete pad needed. Vaulted ceiling with new electrical and plumbing line for a gas fireplace. Know there are a lot of factors, but anyone know what my general price/sqft is? And any good builders recs?

I love it. The Le Griddle has a plate below the cooking surface that helps even heating and retention. Mine is built in.
re: Custom Watch??

Saw that in FB group I’m in. No papers. With the super clones so incredibly good nowadays, I’m terrified to spend that kind of $ for anything naked.

Nice. I’ve been looking at a 2016 for $13k, but we just bought a new house so I’m holding off for now. And the gray market is all over the place so we’ll see what it is in 3 months.

Eh. You can get the newer model, 2019-present (126710BLNR) for $16K. Nice watch though. I want that, batgirl, or Bruce Wayne.

How much you want for that Batman?

I have the 30” Le Griddle. Love it.

Wray deserves far worse than prison. F that dirty mofo.
re: How are your Lib friends taking the L?
Posted by BamaTiger00 on 11/8/24 at 8:37 pm
I have several moderate lib friends. All good and reasonable people - we just have competing ideologies. Some didn’t vote at all because they knew Kamala was a shite candidate. They’re disappointed, but just like us if we’d lost, they just went to work the next day and carried on with raising their families.
