Seems to be an indicator of some deep lying psychological issues.

no. They're not considering only recruiting.

This is how one guy put it...

These are two programs that appear to be trending in different directions, and that swing should continue this fall...Texas A&M may easily finish as high as second place in the SEC West while it may just be a struggle for LSU to finish as high as third.

The writers may be putting weight into that 5 and 5 Ed delivered and who can blame them.

They're all saying what we already know. Don't believe for a second these Lsu folk really think they can hang with us this year.

LSU will suck, but they hung with you last year for 4 quarters when you had an 8th year senior QB. So did North Carolina with all of their starting receivers sitting out.

I'll believe A&M will achieve anything worth a shite when it actually happens.

Did you know Mond was the problem? Many Texas A&M wanted him gone last year and are glad he is gone this year. This year many Texas A&M fans believe the next quarterback will be even better. Quarterback is the key to have a good offense.

Then why did they keep playing him?

We’ll see on the field. All the speculation and opinions from random media guys isn’t going to change anything lol.

LSU should be glad that Auburn will probably be down the next couple of years, otherwise LSU would probably be looking at #4 in the west division

Yet Jimbo Fisher who is supposed to specialize in coaching quarterbacks started Mond for three seasons.

I guess you should email Athlon to ask that, but apparently all 5 of those contributors have similar opinions about it.

If someone who actually watches the games and follows what goes on at the various programs said it, like a Cole Cubelic, then maybe you’d have something.

you don't usually beat them since Fisher has been at A&M

I don’t count the game where they needed multiple instances of refs stepping in to hand them the victory, and last year was Covid season and losing our entire previous team to the NFL, so beating them is still pretty typical for us.

Oh, they were pretty high on LSU coming into 2020 so I guess I'll just write it off as emotional ramblings.

A&M has the clear talent edge

n the other hand, Jimbo Fisher has done a pretty good job over the last couple of seasons on the recruiting trail.

This is how I know these guys have no idea what they are talking about. Since Fisher has been at Texas A&M he has out recruited LSU one year - 2019 where A&M finished #4 and LSU finished #5. The only teams that have an advantage in talent over LSU are Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia and possibly Clemson.

Say what you want about LSU, but talent is and has never been the issue.

Yet you still have the same HC! What I am seeing so far from Fisher and Texas A&M the team and coaching staff have gone a great job of getting the football program to start competing and getting it to be become a permanent top 10 team. If you have not notice anything about Nick Saban didn't start out winning the division and championship at Alabama after so many years of coaching. It is about changing the culture and getting the right players and coaches to get it done. So far it is working! What you do not see about all of this? Still thinks it is a one hit wonder?
