and why would bama be most important?
A winning record against every team in the conference if you are being serious

Why? I'd put UF, Auburn and LSU before them. Why is UGA so important?

If the Tide wanted to leave tomorrow Slive and the league would say 'bye' and not miss a beat, as would be the case for any program in the conference. If one program were to leave, the one that would be most missed would be Vandy, imo. They represent what is best about the SEC.

UF is the only public school in the SEC on the AAU list.
Maybe in gymnastics.

Tennessee. UT and UA were the rocks upon which the SEC was built.
I hate you frickers, but this is the truth. Without Bama and UT, Southern football may have never mattered.

WTF are you talking about? Means the most to the SEC based on what factors? Contributions to the conference just on football alone or other factors like location, wealth, market size, prestige, fan base, etc.. If you're talking about the second most valuable program right now, it's Florida because of the in-state talent pool (which other schools in the SEC benefit from unlike LSU), market size, overall success, and potential. If you're talking about just football contributions to the conference, it's easily Tennessee. They're the second best football program in the SEC historically.

Why doesn't Alabama since they are so powerful, just leave and go the route of N.Dame... See you in 20 years...

Alabama is the only team in the conference that could be engraved on the mount rushmore of college football alongside Notre Dame and USCW
More UNDISPUTED NC's than any team in the country and 3x as many as the next SEC team

Well, at least you're not claiming 14.

No, if the Tide announced they were looking to change conferences Slive would have to be put on suicide watch. And the couch burners, nutless bovines, and Waco care bears would have the entire interwebz shut down with all the gossip.
