Crunch time during NFL games involve mainly passing. The NFL is not called a QBs league because they are good at handoffs.

Sorry your assessment was incorrect. I just like facts.

This dude is going to be a career dominating tackle in the NFL. Can't believe that he was passed up in the first round.

So...Mt. Cody level?

Like I said, the running game is such a small part of the Pro game that RBs are an afterthought. It might not be 66/34 but the passing games important in play selection is about 80/20. That is why you have so few 1000 yard rushers anymore.

Damn. That's gonna suck for Carl Lawson

Yeah T-Town menswear suits and those challengers Bama players drive are earned at part time jobs.

That is why the Combine is so important. Lawson is an athletic freak, so he will do ok.

Not one NFL team throws 66% of the time. Pass rushers are great. You still need badass run stopping LBs.

Not really, teams built on the Bama-LSU defense+ ground game model win the Super BOWL like once or twice a decade and the last two of those teams (Denver and Seattle) were built on pass defense for a reason.

Agreed. Hoped the Saints would take him, though I have no quibble with their choice.

And there are more 500 yard rushers than ever. RBs being an afterthought is patently ridiculous. Teams actually use more of them now.

Both Seattle and Denver were top 3 in rush D in 2015. Jesus.

500 yard rushers with a 16 game season proves my point. I would also love to see rushing yardage charted by what the score of the game was and the time of the game. Teams with leads will try to run the ball to kill the clock and teams early will try to establish the run. Otherwise it is a passing game.

This. As far as his NFL career goes, i think he will start as a situational player but wil develop into a pro bowler in a few years. Kids got crazy athleticism for his size.

Here is something that might help you, if you can read stats
LINK

Minn has the best rushing attack in the league (at least best RB), and they are about 50/50. Most of the rest of the good teams are about 60/40.
