I agree with all of this

I watch the game, when Rogers hit the WR on the 1 yard line for a possible td catch and the db just took it from him.. the way he got up like he didn't gaf I was like these guys aren't even trying.

You are dumb as shite if you think ANY coach in the country is turning down Florida and Texas to stay in Starkville. Dan Mullen got an offer at a better school where his former AD is. Them leaving has nothing to do with Cohen being bad

Im guessing its due to Rogers having a good camp (I heard it was very close) and some may think Costello got the job because Leach brought him with him.

Leach brought in Rogers too. Was already recruiting him to WSU.

None of that matters. If players are not doing what is required, and the AD will not allow them to be dealt with... it's over.

So... Either the AD get's his head on straight and let Leach do his job, Leach will retire to the Keys and MSU will drop off even more because the new guy will be handicapped from the get go and the players will know it.

This isn't coach by committee.

Yes, for the future but he brought Costello in with promises to be the man NOW.

Mullin went to Florida because, drum roll please...., it's the Florida job

No one here is defending the SJW AD

True, but the players watch the film and are at practice with them everyday. If youre losing due to poor QB play and meanwhile the Frosh is hitting everything in practice ect.. it takes a mental toll knowing there's a better option sitting on the bench

And like you said, Will is a Mississippi boy so..

Expect for a few facts.

1- Rogers has been out of practice for 2 weeks. He wasn't available for Arkansas. So there would be no film to look at post LSU.

2- This maybe the same thing that happened last year where the issue began because the true freshman beat out Thompson who was the "next in line" for the 2nd spot. And that became more about other things than who was best for the job. What's the kids name from TX? Lefty....

Maybe lefty and that same group is demanding he start. ??

The issue is, we aren't losing because of poor qb play (it is a big part of it.) Players aren't even giving 75% effort on the field. Receivers are walking routes. Lineman walking to the LOS. Leach has a top 15 defense statistically right now and we are getting wrecked. Arkansas is a good football team but 2 points against Kentucky can't be excused. A few of the INT's have come off receivers hands. We are dropping passes. We are muffing punts and snaps. We have a leadership issue and a discipline issue that Leach is obviously about to address

Not sure what happened between game 1 and game 2, if anything, but in game 3.... issues could be seen.

Who was the back up in game 2?

Tx kid?

Hopefully it's not turning into what happened last year. If left to do his job, Leach will take care of it.

He did a great job with your WRs in that they were catching. They will either start catching or he will play rotate them out.

they looked great week one. None of them are good zone breaking route runners though and most have started dropping passes and walking routes. No one expected a good season this year but this locker room issue needs to be addressed asap before we go Moorhead part 2. anyone calling for Leach's head in this scenario is flat out stupid though

eta. Yes Jalen Mayden is from Texas

Some where. I think the QB was not seeing it and WRs were not making the adjustments. A combination. The side effects of no spring.

and walking routes

Will be benched. LOL! That's not the thing to do. Moms will be called and punishments handed out.

The thing is, these kids have to understand that in that system, Leach can make their career in the NFL. At the same time, their actions to to walk routes will END it.

You just had one of the softest coaches in the SEC, its going to take more than a few games to shake the bitch off these players. I'm betting the "LeachBeach" will be full this week

Missouri went through a similar situation when Missouri AD picked Barry Odom to be the HC then bolt to go to Oklahoma. That at first stung due to getting caught and put on bowl band and probation and lost of scholarships. Then the tutor and made things worst. Odom then was fired and lucked out on this hiring before anyone got a chance to hired him. Since he only had 1 year HC experience and did very well. That was a risk taking and so far it is working pretty well. Offense was our main issue. Drinkwitz is very good recruiter and also a very good offensive coach that is good enough to know how to be a HC and hiring coaches that fit his system. Got to get all that put together to make it work. The defense coaches were all set and no need to make changes.

The HC job is to find the right recruits that will fit for his system and also checked for their history. It is hard to know 100 percent but some do are bad like Florida with Urban Meyers. Some had bad characters. HCs also need spend more time on those things. Some HCs are lazy.

Yep. Last week there were a lot of dropped passes. I think one was taken being benched but was told had COVID-19. I see that same thing and this past Saturday was almost perfect.
