Damn I wish Finebaum was on the air already.

Fbaum has missed out on a ton of shite being gone at this time. Mal moore and new ad, JFF drama ...

Sounds exactly like this was the case. And if Johnny had someone like this as one of his closest friends... he fricked up and doesn't deserve to play this season.
If every star athlete with a dumbfrick leech of a friend was suspended for the season we wouldn't have pro sports in this country anymore.

No idea, he apparently dropped out of HS to be his assistant?
he dropped out of A&M, not HS

The callers today would be epic.

After countless hours of training from A&M compliance office, Manziel would have to be incredibly stupid to suddenly demand payment. Doesn't seem like Johnny needed any money.
signed every NCAA athlete or coach who has done something

Some other kid from Johnny's high school could make a phone call to a broker demanding payment for photographs tomorrow. Doesn't mean that this demand was 1. authorized by Johnny, 2. credible, specific evidence a request was made?, 3. resulted in financial payment, (again evidence?) or 4. said payment benefitted Johhny. Some kid could scan broker without Johnny having any involvement " … directly or indirectly, represents or attempts to represent an individual for the purpose of marketing his or her athletics ability or reputation for financial gain …” So, what's to prevent anyone in the USA from calling up a broker and attempting to solicit money for any kid's autographs?
one little thing though, the supposed agreement involved a reaction on JM's end to complete(signing autographs)

How many of them drop out to become "brand managers"?

I know, these are the only days I actually listen to fbaum. Rant meltdowns are nothing compared to an fbaum show on a day like today.

Why did his parents let that parasite latch on? Nothing good ever comes out of a "family friend" "handler".
No idea. His parents seem more like another set of friends than parents at moments. That is pure speculation, but I don't think they would be the kind of people to put their foot down, if they ever felt the desire.
The parents here are a huge part of the problem. College football players do not need PAs, and in this case, it just adds to his feelings of entitlement and overinflated sense of self-importance. Sounds like he got those traits honestly at least. His dad sounds like a real piece of work - claiming on the one hand to worry about his 20 year old son's drinking, but buying him alcohol in front of a reporter; starting a corporation to protect Johnny's future financial interests and trademarking Johnny Football; and worst of all, publicly criticizing A&M the way he has. If he's that upset about how A&M has "failed to protect" his baby boy from his own poor choices, maybe A&M would be well rid of the Manziels.
I can only imagine what a locker room cancer this guy will be for the team this season.

I just can't imagine having my "friend" ask me to sign a thousand autographs without knowing where they are going.
who knows how it was framed... could've been a situation where JFF didn't want to know who was benefiting or what was being given.
it's definitely interesting... but i'm not sure we'll ever know exactly what went down... I doubt any of these shady characters involved (especially on the merchandise side) talk to the NCAA.

Texas must have offered his assistant free tuition and diploma. It is a giant set up to regain control of Texas.

Why are they hanging out in Athens on ESPN and only talking about JFF? WIll they even acknowledge the Georgia practice today?
Did they interview Mike Fox? UGA will have a good BB team this year? Why are they practicing so early, tho??

I know. And he always gets good people to interview. I don't like hearing the callers, but I like it when the actual experts call in.

with the amount of stuff I saw him signing just after the second game of the year when he was still a nobody I can completely see Uncle Nate claiming to Johnny it was just more crap that his parents had sent for him to sign and Johnny thinking nothing of it.

If you knew exactly how the Manziel's got all their money, this becomes less like a joke and more like a potential reality.
That actually explains a lot.

NYC Auburn, no doubt he signed autographs. That is not a problem, and I'm sure he does it all the time.
In the past, JFF has demonstrated that he knows something about NCAA compliance when defending previous photos of him gambling, or attending sporting events, etc. It doesn't add up to me that he would ignore that in January. But WOW if true.
As an independent (assuming non-biased) observer, does that seem logical?

He said in the SI article that autograph requests brought him the most stress.
