Yesterday some Ags were saying that the Chancellor didn't make a public statement and that he had said these things in some kind of Aggie newsletter, however, I had already seen him on ESPN giving some statments at some PR event or meeting or whatever.

I think some folks are just asking if there is so much proof that he didnt do it, why hasn't Sumlin or Manziel given a denial at a brief presser just to make a statement only with the denial and answer no questions.

I feel the same way about the NCAA and I'm not mad. And I want to see Moiselle play this season. It's just that the NCAA has become way too political and more of a problem than a solution.

Exactly the NCAA has just become an obstacle to overcome where the costs far outweigh the benefits of continuing to conduct business with them.

Probably because the university was in the process of conducting its own investigation into the matter.

A day after the newsletter, he was asked about it at an event by a local reporter, so gave a quick interview where he addressed it and commented further

I can't imagine what evidence there could be to prove that he never broke NCAA rules. If he has this infallible evidence that proves Manziel's innocence, I would think that it would already be out.

I doubt anybody outside of the most adamant Kool-Aid drinking Ags thinks that JFF didn't sign for money. I also doubt anybody with a brain or knowledge of the NCAA thinks that the NCAA will prove it or that he'll actually miss any time.

Funny, I think the same thing about evidence that proves his guilt.

Your university's chancellor guaranteeing his innocence is not equivalent to message board posters speculating about his guilt.

No. Aggie has sold their honor code down the river for this one chance at glory with him this season.

Therein lies the rub. I'm not sure how you can have evidence that he didn't break NCAA rules or if that really matters. The burden of proof is on the NCAA.

I completely agree. That's why it was surprising when Sharp said, "I just know. I've seen things that other folks can't see. And it didn't happen. It did not happen." What the hell has he seen?

Perfect world scenario...Manziel beats Bama, NCAA finds evidence against Manziel, throws the book at him. ESPN Blows up and all the asshats there catch on fire, Mettenberger rides off into the sunset with a National Championship

my guess is bank statements. manziel shows his statements, there are no large deposits, myopic chancellor thinks it's case-closed.

Except in that scenario A+M would have to forfeit the Bama victory. But nice try.
