According to all the reports, JFF is supposed to have signed 4K+ autographs in a period of a month and a half...
That isn't even logistically impossible unless he is doing absolutely nothing else. You MIGHT be able to get a hundred in an hour or so, but remember these autographs have to be done slowly, and all look the same. So let's say that in order to reach those numbers JFF had to give up an entire day of his time, this is Manziel who can disappear nowhere...
Basically, there have to be a LOT of fakes out there.

No, the idea that JFF would sign 100 autographs a day for 45 consecutive days doesn't seem likely to me.
I would venture to say that a reasonable person would find it unlikely also. Especially given the amount of travel, awards shows, and partying.
Could there be another explanation?

You do not have to write them slowly nor do they have to look exactly the same.
Signatures are graded through the similarity of key points throughout the signature not the identical recreation of the same signature repeatedly. It would more than likely cause some concern if the the signature was near identical over an over again. Additionally, consistency within depth of stroke and ink is considered.
That does not mean that you cannot sit down and write something over and over again and become both proficient at it and increase your rate of speed.
How long does it take you write a check or write a welcome message in a card? 10 seconds at the max? Same concept with writing the same JFF #2 Heisman over and over again.

If it takes him an hour to sign 100 autographs he has bigger problems than this investigation. He could easily have signed 4k autographs in a day or two.

It's ENTIRELY reasonable he could take a couple of hours out of each day to sign autographs and reach the total in 45 days....especially if he's getting $$$ to do it.
