Sure, it could potentially hurt the school if the AD doesn't try to find out what really happened. To that I would say, "No shite Sherlock".

But if the same logic was applied to players from his own school, many of them would be condemned for much worse things that have actually been proven to be true. So, it goes a little too far to suggest that there is too much dirt on this guy, and he is hurting the program. When at this point it is a primarily a personal image problem due to the amount of coverage ESPN has reported on. (e.g. ESPN graphic of memorable dates, listing a date that he got kicked out of a frat party?)

C'mon, man...

getting kicked out of the Manning thing is what caused most media folks to start dissing him. So he has embarrassed himself, his family, and his University and his teammates. That is on no one but him ..this latest thing takes it to a whole different level because it could causes suspensions or later vacations.

same song but different verse.

Just a wild stab but my guess something else breaks by the end of this week. PF said recently that there were things being looked into that have not come out yet..With him now being an insider he is probably privy to what some investigative type people are working on but are not ready to go to press yet.

No argument that he was at fault for the Manning Camp thing. So, he is responsible for the negative publicity from that incident, for which he apologized to Sumlin.

A&M would sure like to know if there is anything out three that is better than a Joe Schad story concerning a supposed video clip that no one else has seen, where a broker with an apparent motive explains to Schad what JFF was inferring from a comment that is apparently difficult to hear on the video. I'm sure they have grilled Manziel about it already. (I would hope so.) If there is something else then bring it to light quickly.

if the roles were reversed and all this chit was happening to AJ I would be very afraid for our season as we have no experience back up. I am glad this is not happening now at Bama

I am amazed that A&M fans are so sure Johnny is such a stand up guy and actually think that public opinion is on his side. Uh No. Every other team has to play by the rules. Why not Johnny?

Pal, if you think Johnny is not an alkie, you're head has been in the sand. By the way, my info about that came from a Century Club member who also is a collegiate baseball umpire and knows a lot of he Aggie baseball players. I took his word for it.

Why are you here? Seriously. I have no strong objection to you being here, but I wonder if you ever stop and ask yourself that? If so, what answer comes up?

To me this is one of the worst things about this whole deal and younger Aggies seem to be completely clueless about it (but frick you, btw). If Sumlin ever utters a Sherril-esque like "You can't prove anything", I'll start rooting for... I dunno, Eastern Michigan. But he won't, so I'm safe. But the A&M AD really needs to get to the bottom of this, no matter what results.

His dad buys him a car in high school if he agrees to lay off the booze. JFF can't do that and gets thrown in jail when a Walmart security guard smells booze on his breath. Daddy takes the new car away. He gets arrested last year for underage drinking and giving a cop a fake ID. A few weeks ago he gets kicked out of the Manning camp fro being drunk and not showing up. JFF celebrates by going out drinking that night. Next week he's kicked out of a frat party at UT. He's only 20 years old.

If he ain't an alcoholic, he's well on his way.

Wait, are you saying you don't believe that his best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Johnny pass out drunk at 31 Flavors last night? I'm sure it's pretty serious and he wouldn't just make that kind of thing up.

Since you are a fan of a conference with teams that have done the following:

Had a player murder another player and the coach cover it up, had a coach require a player to conceal his/her sexuality to keep him/her eligible to stay at that school and had a player punch his pregnant girlfriend in the jaw without consequence (Baylor)

Had a player receive money for a job he didn't attend, had another player kicked off the team for a drunken brawl and somehow managed to parlay it into a medical redshirt (Oklahoma)

Recruited a player who raped an underage girl (Oklahoma State)

Had a coach physically abuse his players (Kansas)

Had one player rape a woman while the other watched, had several players commit multiple crimes over a 7 year period, after which those who didn't start "transferred" (Texas)

Had one player basically destroy the football program and used his daddy and ESPN to do it (Texas Tech)

You should be used to this.

Nice try at deflecting the question, but JFF's antics have nothing to do with past Big 12 problems. Suddenly, I'm supposed to defend fat arse Mangino's behavior? And I have no idea about most of the other stuff, but you conveniently left off Aggie players, but I forgive you for that. But continue if you think this is pertinent to the current discussion.

Here is the truth. 90% of Aggies are pretty damn sure JFF took money and broke the rules, but they defend him even though both he & his family don't give a shite about your school or its traditions. They are an opportunistic bunch who has played A&M for a fool. And the truth is that in all likelyhood there will be more dirt on the kid. Mack Brown has made a lot of fricked up decisions in the past few years and I hope he is gone soon, but he didn't frick up when he didn't offer JFF.

Sumlin has been dealt a shitty hand here too. If he sits JFF, Aggie nation will revolt. If he plays him, he jeopardizes both the season and his coaching record. Personally, I think even if JFF plays, he'll "lose it" sometime during the season when things go badly. And if they do go badly, Aggies will turn on him in a heartbeat because deep down they know he is a 2%'er. It would not surprise me if he walks out on you guys in the middle of a game & flips you off on the way to the tunnel. Not that I think it is justifiable behavior, but because I believe there is immense pressure and he won't be able to keep the cap on it all season. The very best thing he can do now is come clean. Its best for A&M, his pro career, and his family.

It's even funnier because they have a backup QB who actually is an accused rapist

Well Case McCoy didn't rape anyone but he did frick a drunk Tech girl. He also fricked up a sober Aggie defense.
