I sure hope so Tampajoe. This is normally a really exciting time of the year for me. All of this JFF drama has killed some of that excitement.
On another note...we can get excited about this...
"Football on your phone...while your lady butters your scone". Is that how it went?

Nate Fitch could have acted alone without Johnny's knowledge.
Nate Finch quit school to become JFF's personal assistant. He managed JFF's public relations, organized JFF's bodyguard/security detail, he even went to far as to have a sit down in a restaurant with JFF's new QB coach (Spivel) where he told the coach, "I would love to work with you." He was JFF's right hand man and most every "outing" JFF decided to go to, from casino's, to concerts, to NBA games, to frat parties, bar hopping, etc.
There's no way JFF sat his arse down at multiple locations and signed hundreds of items in front of autograph authenticators for multiple brokers and didn't "know" that his personal assistant had arranged all this shite for him. Uncle Nate acted on JFF's behalf, and JFF just innocently went along with it without asking any questions?

This has nothing on ATPB. Actual work went into pilling all that together. This is just page after page of people running their mouth.

Plus, if you apply the Cam Newton rule, Finch qualifies as an agent of the player, since their relationship predated JFF's attending Texas A&M. Therefore wrongddoing by Finch would make JFF inelligible.

well, at least for now, you can still find former college stars autographed memorabilia.
Ryan Tannehill
Tim Tebow
Part of what set of Desmond Howard is that the NCAA claims the player has no rights to these pics. Now sure about these sigs though. Here's an article about the Reggie Bush stuff but that's also been taken off the NCAA website now. Most of the current player autograph stuff was taken off over a month ago.
The Bush pic was at:

but you can see it leads no where now.

Truly sad - that folks have such small lives as to pour everything into making up lies and wishing harm on another school's football program, of all things. Life should be more important than that.

Link to story? Did a google search, all I found were accusations of this on various message boards. Really would like to read this story. Have heard this rumor before, never have seen an actual report on it.
Here's the only story I've ever seen about JFF and a Wal-Mart(from the New York Times article):
quote:
Sometimes Manziel had too much fun, skipping class and sweet-talking his way out of trouble. His father made him a deal: he would buy Manziel a new car if he stayed away from alcohol during his junior and senior years in high school. One summer night, Manziel went to Wal-Mart to buy a phone charger, the security guard smelled alcohol and the police were called. Manziel denied he had been drinking but was taken to jail. The next day, his father picked him up, sold the car and replaced it with a busted pickup truck that would repeatedly break down on the way to school. He refused to pay the fine for his son, and when the judge sentenced Manziel to 10 hours of community service, John Paul said: Make it 20.

then no media outlet reported it despite several reporting the shirts and jerseys. dont you think they would have included the autographs as well since it would be more on topic?

Auburn folks, from the President to the AD to the coaching staff to the players to the AU fans were freakin "ALL IN" with Cam Newton and up until the BCSCG they were open arms to Cecil as well. Chizik & Co kept those kids focused and mentally strong through all that shite - he kept them motivated and hungry to prove the nay-sayers wrong.
No one from AU had any love for Cecil but were willing to find out facts before they threw good people under the bus and sacrificed the rest of the team's hard work over internet rumors and media lies.

quote:Uncle Nate may have indeed been a true friend to Johnny back in high school. Then followed him on to aTm where the friendship continued. But, once Uncle Nate saw that JM was a golden goose, the quit school to devote 100% of this time to being JM's personal assistant - - once JM became JFF and the 1st ever freshman Heisman winner, Uncle Nate perched his arse right up in the nest with the golden goose and was waiting until he laid the golden NFL egg and they'd ALL be rollin in $$$$$$.
Plus, if you apply the Cam Newton rule, Finch qualifies as an agent of the player, since their relationship predated JFF's attending Texas A&M. Therefore wrongddoing by Finch would make JFF inelligible.
The question now is, whether Uncle Nate was patient enough sit back and wait for that NFL payday, or if he was just as immature as his buddy and took $$ prematurely????

You are correct. The jist of the story was told by a few people in response to an article on his other arrest. A few people who were apparently from his home town provided some detailed information on what happened. It was related to an actual shoplifting as I understood from the comments. Not sure if he was also drunk or not and this was related to one of his HS arrests. For all I know, he could have been drunk and did a cash and grab for some beer after hours. He definately had a shady history well before he ever hit aTm's campus.
