Samantha Ponder, don't think I'll ever get used to that.

So how did this thread go from JFF to Kate Upton and Lindsey Lohan?
Upton titty pic mentioned. Everyone paused to google. Reconvened to discuss Upton titty pic. Someone mentioned Lohan. Telewhatever whines about NSFW. Now here we are.

I'm the same: Smoore was/is an arrogant douche that tried to resurrect his dead radio career off the Camgate scandal by claiming to be an insider with evidence that the gullible Bama fans would eat up. He was a huge douche during the coaching search and basically tried to revise history of his predictions stating he was right on Saban from the get go. Blasted him multi times and do not trust a word he ever says.
Sorry for the off topic rant.

The Johnny Manziel story just got a lot more interesting. According to ESPN’s Joe Schad, there is video of Manziel speaking with an autograph broker who allegedly paid the Heisman Trophy winning quarterback $7,500 in exchange for signing approximately 300 helmets of different sizes.
quote:
The broker told ESPN that there were videos of the signing sessions that were to be used as proofs and Joe Schad was able to watch the nearly 9 minute video.

Um kay.
If JFF becomes some kind of folk hero, then I'm no longer part of college football's target demographic.

So now all the TAMU fans are going to jump on the "college players should get paid" bandwagon. Whatever works, I guess. And I agree for what it's worth.

pretty sure back when Cam was being investigated, a&m fans were some of those saying that the SEC was corrupt as hell.
now that manziel's in this predicament, they point to their savior Cam and how he got off.

That is a load of bull. If the player's name isn't on the jersey it doesn't matter.
I could go to a t-shirt shop and make a T-Shirt in Alabama Red with a #10 on the back. Does that mean I am profitting off McCarron?

The NCAA should stop the business of selling the stuff, but they cannot allow players to make that money. It would allow boosters to setup bogus autograph or merchandising sales just to pay the players. Obviously, that would include recruits. The NCAA wouldn't be able to regulate it and it instantly becomes an un-level playing field for schools who don't have those boosters.

This is what the "pay the players!" people miss.
You are opening up a huge can of worms and setting CFB up for even more massive corruption.
The day CFB officially becomes the minors for the NFL is the day I move onto something different.
