It didn't have to be a current head coach from a G-5 school. That's just the lazy default setting. It could've been a coordinator. Could've been a coach from 1-AA. Could've been some NFL position coach with Arkansas ties. Could've been all kinds of shite except what you endedup getting.

It would take that. Historically, Arkansas, like Oklahoma, got most of their players from Texas high schools. Even with $50 million, they’re competing with SMU, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, A&M, and Texas, as well as LSU and the other SEC schools west of the Mississippi River for that same talent.

The geographical recruiting changed once Arkansas got into the SEC.
They began recruiting states that was rarely or never recruited while in the SWC.
