He is an employee of a university.
Any of us who have ever been employed by a university -- at any level -- have had it laid out clear as day the protocol you must follow in all kinds of cases of "suspected" or "reported" abuse etc etc etc. . .
We ALL sign contracts that say we will follow these protocols or we were free to not take the job.
The protocol would not be firing the coach but reporting the "suspected" or "reported" abuse to a superior/specialist that handles these concerns within the university instead of covering it up/keeping it a secret.
It's really clear as day.
