So many examples abound already (e.g. Florida, Arizona St., Auburn, the aforementioned Vandy & MSU) that it makes threads like this stupid. Which everyone knows except that it blows the thin veneer of cover that this was really just another "Longhorns live rent free" thread to gripe about us.
Last year, everyone who played Texas would have rather played Oklahoma.
Texas (8-0 last year if they had played Oklahoma's schedule?)

A&M (6-2 last year if they had played Oklahoma?)
Florida (5-3 last year if they had played Oklahoma?)
Alabama (5-3 last year if they had played Texas?)
Tennessee (5-3 if they had played Texas?)
Arkansas (4-4 last year if they had played Oklahoma?)
Vanderbilt (4-4 last year if they had played Oklahoma?)
LSU (4-4 last year if they had played Texas?)
SC (4-4 last year if they had played Texas?)
Ole Miss (4-4 last year if they had played Texas?)
Mizzou (4-4 last year if they had played Texas?)
Oklahoma (3-5 last year if they had played the Texas Schedule?)
Auburn (2-6 last year if they had played Texas?)
Kentucky (2-6 last year if they had played Oklahoma?)
Miss State (0-8 last year)
And people would be complaining that we didn't have to play Georgia, A&M or Florida...

But I have seen the media agenda is already out there. They are stating Texas has the hardest schedule (LOL, no that is the Gators and OU) and will be the 1st team to be 9-3 and make the 12 team playoff.
It’s crazy how the SEC made the OU and Texas schedules so oppo their first two years in the conference. And now we have a Texas fan on here propping Vandy and State to try and feel better. Yes, they are better than the programs/teams they were when the SEC gave Texas the lineup thinking them and Kentucky were the bottom 3 teams.

Looking at the final SEC standings of last year, Texas's conference schedule of 2025 consists of 7 of the bottom 9 teams in SEC play.
