You might want to look up the definition of "crown" of the helmet. Here's a hint: it's not the face mask.

They need to get get rid of targeting period, it kills the game and takes away a defenses ability to hammer someone that’s being allowed extra space to make a play. I loved the pre targeting era, come across the middle light them up, QB hole the ball too long and hammer him, receiver leave the ground to make a catch and pay the price.
