Arkansas hires one of only a few active coaches with a national championship. Kentucky hires an alum who has never won a tournament game as HC before.

We won twice.

Did you?

Let's compare upside.

Arkansas took a 65 year old coach that couldn't win tournament games the last 5 years at Kentucky, and left because Kentucky tried to force him to change how he does things so the team is competitive in March. He is unwilling to change, so he finds a landing spot where he won't be expected to change and where he will continue to have a blank credit card to do what he wants and they will accept it for a number of years.
He also brought along a staff that did nothing to develop players.
Good luck with that.

Kentucky hires an up and coming coach, age 51, who know how to make in game adjustments and play defense. He will be able to hire assistants to help him with recruiting and player development.

Calipari record the last 5 years 105-52 51%
Pope record the last 5 years 110- 52 53%

I'm not reading all that. We get it. You're coping.

There's not a universe that exists in which Mark Pope is an upgrade over John Calipari.

At 51 Calipari had already been to the Elite Eight five times.

I'll take that over not making the NCAA tournament consistently each year.

There is one problem with that, he's not 51 anymore.

And your coach is about to turn 52 without even knowing what the round of 32 looks like.

Y'all sound like Texas A&M fans after the Fisher hire or UNC after the Mack Brown hire.

Look at the trajectory, baws, it ain't good.

Do you have proof of this or just wishful thinking?

Concern troll noted.

I admire the effort, but trying to sell Pope over Cal is an impossible task even for the most clever amongst us.

It's all bullshite. If you talk to a Kentucky fan you'd think we were gonna trot out 5 freshmen starters next year. Meanwhile the very first player Cal contacts as head coach of Arkansas is a senior guard.
