Auburn is a regional, second rate program, that's why you always seem to get left out. '04 wasn't the first time.

This is exactly why I cannot stand the UAT pulpwood nation... 95% of their f#$k#n fan base have never stepped foot into a classroom at UAT yet they think AU is beneath them. It's freakin comical !!! Here's to you bammer fan, !!!

It's sad when they only thing bammers have got going in their life are MNC print coke bottles dating back to the time of the Dodo bird and ragged out panel vans used to molest small children/animals...

If Notre Dame had beaten #1 USC, then they would be #1. Assuming things played out like they did that season, Auburn/Oklahoma would be tied for #2 up until after the last regular season game where Oklahoma edged us out because we didn't show up for the first half of the Alabama game. That would leave Notre Dame/Oklahoma in the title game and Auburn fans upset... again.

If we use a schedule where Notre Dame didn't play USC like the one Skeeter mentioned, I don't see Notre Dame making it. I see them sitting pretty at #3 or #4 depening on if they were ranked higher than Auburn or not. The higher preseason ranking that Auburn had, in my opionion, would keep us at #3 and Notre Dame would beat out Utah for #4.

Right now, I forgot what point I was trying to prove with Notre Dame earlier.

I still think Notre Dame would have jumped to #2 at least in a season where they didn't play USC. Since USC started at #1 they would have managed to hold on to that spot, but no one could have denied the momentum of a "media dream matchup" of an undefeated USC team versus undefeated Notre Dame for the title. I don't give a rats behind where they started at, Notre Dame jumps Auburn like paper beats rock.

((Clarification: I'm not dissing Auburn by any means, that was an incredible 2004 team, I'm just saying Notre Dame has PULL))

The Notre Dame-$C game is a permanent rivalry as they do play each other every year.

We had to make a theoretical season where Notre Dame doesn't play USC to try and prove a point about something. Look back two pages and you can see it somewhere.
