I cant believe we are listing seasons in which we almost won a NC. I guess thats what you have to resort to when u pull for Auburn

Try and keep up with the discussion which is about how much better AU has been in football than Bama and how many better teams we have put on the field for quite a while now.

Yes, Bama doesn't carry as much clout as ND (nobody does), but we'd have gotten in. Why? Because the system involves human polls and they'd have put us in. Bama/USC, you think the media wouldn't be all over this?

Auburn has definitely been dominant over Bama this century, but not since 1980 and definitely not since 1979.

Moron. You would have been crying at the end of that year just like Auburn fans were. Alabama would have not jumped Oklahoma, just like Notre Dame wouldn't have jumped Oklahoma, or ANYONE ELSE wouldn't have jumped Oklahoma. Noone but USC and Oklahoma were going to the title game, I don't care what team we are talking about, they would have not jumped Oklahoma.

If you seriously dont think ND gets in, I dont know what to say. ND unlike Auburn doesn't get screwed over, they get the benefit of the doubt every single time because they're ND. You know the whole 9 wins = BCS berth thing?

And I already addressed the picking a time frame to support a point which is what I am doing. 1980 is a nice round number, but picking 1983 which would be the post Bryant era would probably be a better choice for discussion and would not change anything I have posted.
