People rarely hire the first guy. Alabama went thru several before hiring Saban.

So link it. Damn, both you and the other poster talk about a lot of stuff supposedly happening but can't actually prove any of it.

Meanwhile, everyone is reporting an offer wasnt extended. Not sure why y'all are so pissed about that.

First of all, I'm not your damn secretary. You know as well as I, and as well as most of the posters reading this, what the mods on that board were posting all day today. You're challenging to link posts now because you know they've gone out and deleted most of them.

Secondly, the person reporting that there was no offer is the same person who was telling you earlier that it was a done deal. Others keep repeating it, hence: "no offer."

If you think today was the first interview with Arnett, and they sent the private jet for him and his wife to come down just for introductions, and they weren't trying to sell him on taking the LSU job, you are a very special kind of stupid.

All of the trolling is fun and all: but here's exactly what happened: Arnett had interest but is concerned about joining a lame duck staff. Orgeron was trying to change his thinking on that. In the end, LSU couldn't afford the buyout. MSU was unwilling to negotiate a reduced buyout.

You can say no offer was made all day. You, and everyone else knows it's bullshite.

Not the same side of the ball, but gene chizik went through several oc candidates before settling on Scot Loeffler in January of 2012. Not sure why I thought of this comparison.

This isn't your head coaching search. That's a year, maybe two away.

Just to be clear, you didnt provide any evidence at all so I'm assuming this is all your opinion?

Believe it or not, I don't give a damn. But you haven't posted a fact about this yet in this thread, so I'd suggest a little self awareness.

Lol. The same sources who earlier today told you that Arnett was pretty much a done deal and lawyers were finalizing the details but they didn't expect any hang ups. And then later deleted it.

You have derailed.

There's a link to a credible site in the post above yours.

Not sure why you think LSU would lie about this situation yet they had no problem saying Freeman turned them down.

Arnett hasn't refuted the reports either.

I know you may not understand this but getting approval to pay the buyout and making an offer are two different things.

Nope. There's a link to a spin comment by a mod on a fan site who was wrong all day yesterday.

LSU has to spin this because they couldn't close the deal on a guy they thought it would be easy to close the deal on.

Your comment about Arnett not refuting it is laughable. Nobody at LSU has confirmed it, except. 247 mod.

Your attempts to carry water here are weak and pathetic.

So now you've clearly demonstrated that you have no idea how these things work. You're clowning yourself now.

Why would they not feel the same about Freeman?

Credible sources are reporting the same things I've said.

You keep talking about muh forum posts that you claim have now conveniently been deleted even though I haven't seen a single Tweet or anything from a credible person that backs up what you say.

Interesting.

You seem invested heavily in this despite us not offering your DC the job here

You say the following without linking a single one:

And then you say:
