I've been to several silent auctions in my time. Never knew LSU invented them. Pretty cool stuff.

Yes, and we copied a time machine from Back to the Future, so we could go back in time and copy it 120 years before they started doing it.
LSU copied their fight song from Mizzou/Clemson or whoever else has Tigers as their mascot, which they copied from somewhere else, too.
LSU copied Neck from Southern.
LSU copied their campus architecture from Stanford, who copied it from the Italians.

I certainly hope we never copy anything from LSU. That place has become a real trainwreck.

As has been stated, not copying a good idea is dumb.
That said, I'm pretty sure LSU was the first school to do this. If someone else thinks/can prove otherwise, I'd like to see it.

Can u provide any link stating that LSU was the first school in the nation to hold such a party? Instead of just assuming, why don't you prove it.
