Never said anything about winning a national title though 1960 team was screwed by an illegal kU player in last game of the year. Man you are life must be miserable. Your life must really be shallow and suck to so hate or is that fear your non-rival to the north.

Actually I am sitting next to an (annoying) MU grad. The urge to flame hit me suddenly

Once again your ignorance shows Mizzou's best years as a program were clearly in the 60's were they won more games then any team in the nation.
This is actually not true. Bama was easily the best team in the 60's. Followed by Texas, Arkansas and then Missouri.
1960-1969

Thought I read that somewhere when wrong like others I will admit it. Still 4th is not bad and clearly Mizzou's best time as a program.

You also messed up on factual content, as CheshireHog just pointed out. Big swing and a miss

My ignorance of 1960's winning percentages equals your ignorance of Mizzou football history, guess we are both just dumb asses.

I am ignorant of MU football history?? Let me give you a quick synopsis:
0 titles
0 BCS games
0 Outright conference titles since WWII
Last conference title was in the Missouri Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Association

Hell I was wrong too. I just said on the last page that this past decade was your best ever however I didn't realize you were that good in the 60's. In regards to the 60's you always hear about Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Michigan State, LSU and Ole Miss. I didn't realize that Missouri was in the same breath as those schools for that time frame.

Arkansas basketball almost immediatly won national title and we brought our 40 track and field titles plus more football history and more baseball history /thread
Posted on 9/2/12 at 10:49 pm to bamaham
That is correct. It was a forfeit by bama not a vacated win. Difference being its a win for us in record books as it should be

I honestly thought this was a mistype and almost asked about it in the OP. Thanks for clearing it up.

No problem
Bama had to forfeit the entire 93 season because of NCAA infractions
