I wonder if Clemens has discovered his dad's "secret to success"?

Do they piss-test at the CWS?

Wow, a quarter-century after leaving the Southwest Conference, you hillbillies are still obsessed with TEXAS.

In the last 25 years, the only time Texas has crossed my mind is when a) we have played you b) when your top sports message board was repo'd and used as a tool of humiliation by a sooner fan and c) when discussing how it only took 3 hours for the shittiest coach in the sec to make your entire program look retarded on national television during a bowl game

We are not aTm so your little brother rhetoric doesn't work on us. We see how far your program has fallen and we understand how desperate your fans are to manipulate everyone's perception of your program. You are the most insecure fanbase in sports, and this can be proven with your weekly replays of your game against southern cal on the lhn. That game was so long ago and you guys are clinging to it since it is your last viable evidence of ever being relevant.

Ha!

So you admit, unlike you guys, we were relevant in this century!

Yes, you were at one time relevant, a very long time ago. Ive never had a problem admitting that you were a blueblood. At some point though, you are going to have to admit that you are no longer a blueblood and act accordingly. Until then, you just sound like aggies.

Apart from some wishful thinking after an occasional win over the last few years, I don't think Texas has acted like a blue blood at all. Don't confuse general Texas arrogance, relative to Arkansas, with thinking we are playing like blue bloods.

Then again, I don't think anyone with any brains thinks they aren't going to eventually get back to actually playing like a blue blood.

You're confusing hiring a coach that can win with a program being a blueblood. If you were still a blueblood, it wouldn't take you so many coaching hires just to win your conference again, which is made up mostly of cream puffs. Every program can hire a winning coach every now and then, but it takes a blueblood to replace a winning coach with a winning coach and not miss a beat.

Get back with us when you finally, after a decade or more of searching, find a coach that can win your conference against programs like baylor, tech, tcu and kansas. You act like all those historical years of dominance over rice, houston, smu and tcu are noteworthy but they aren't. There were only 2 noteworthy teams in the SWC and that was Texas and Arkansas. You don't see us walking around crowing about those years because they are ancient history and irrelevant to todays discussions of success.

Maybe your new coach is a winner, maybe he will fail like the last winner you hired. We will have to wait and see. But if he does win, it is not your school reclaiming its blueblood status because that success will disappear with the coach, just like in the past.

Edit to add, since I know you are going to dispute what I said...

The conference celebrated its glory football years in the 1960s, dominated by two teams, Texas and Arkansas. Texas won the 1963 national championship, and Arkansas won a national championship in 1964 in the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and Helms Athletic Foundation (HAF) polls. In 1969, Texas won another national championship by beating #2-ranked Arkansas 15-14 in the regular season's final game (dubbed the "Big Shootout"). The 1969 Arkansas-Texas game in Fayetteville, Arkansas, attended by President Richard Nixon, is usually counted among the greatest college football games ever played. Texas also won the 1970 United Press International (UPI) National Championship (i.e., the coaches' poll), which until 1974 was awarded prior to the bowl games. Texas lost the Cotton Bowl Classic following the 1970 season to Notre Dame by a score of 24-11, giving the Associated Press (AP) Championship to Nebraska after they beat LSU by a score of 17-12 in the Orange Bowl.

And for the record, you do have a blueblood program in the B12.... Oklahoma. They are still successful today and drag your salty asses up and down the football field nearly every time you play them. If you want to see what a blueblood program looks like, look to your north. They replaced a winning coach with a winning coach and never missed a beat.
