You really think A&M's defense is better than UGA's?

Using your philosophy, there would be no upset. Every game turns out different.

Doc, If I'm pessimistic it's because of the production I've seen from Petrino's Hogs in the last 15 games, they have made virtually NO progress. And being pessimistic does NOT equal being a "Nutt hugger", calling people Nutt huggers at this point is retarded.

Don't remember calling you a 'hugger.'

I just think you are a glass-is-half-empty type of Hog fan. I've seen tremendous progress, and don't know why you haven't.

Bama is clearly better than us. They are clearly better than everyone than Florida. The straight-up beat us.

Georgia is not much better than us, and I think they are the #2 team in the East right now.

Other than Florida, I don't see a team we can't beat left on our schedule. I still see 8 wins likely, 7 wins worse-case. I think this is 'progress,' and I wonder about your agenda when you can't see it as well.

I have no reason do doubt your 'fanhood.' I just think you put an extremely negative spin on your posts. Take it FWIW

The same Aggies that like to boast of the "#1 offense in America", against the worst teams in America, glaze over the fact that their defense is giving up 351 a game, placing them in the bottom half of the country.........against those horrific teams.

I had us

-Beating only 1 of 5: #14 Georgia, @ #3Bama, @ #1Florida, @ #18 Ole Miss, @ #4LSU.

-All 4 non-con's.

-Auburn, USC, Miss. St.

8-4, 4-4

We are not as bad as Bama made us look. Bama is simply that good. We are going to be just fine, and get an invite to a ho-hum, mediocre bowl.

Really bschog? Can you give me your reasoning? I'm interested. Are there any early lines out by the way? I know preseason was -10 for y'all, but I'm sure it's much closer now.

He has no reasoning or logic....Just another WRT with a podium

I think it will probably be a somewhat close game. I expect us to win, though. We should have beaten UGA. I know, I know...

I think after facing Bama's D, TAMU's defense might look like MO St.

Mallett will have more time to throw, and he'll take advantage of it.

Either way, I'll be drunk in the good seats, calling the Hogs and probably wishing we were in the Big 12.

I agree; however, I could see us losing to either USCe or Auburn and going 7-5

Doc, I didn't mean that to read that YOU had called into questining my "fanhood" or called me a "nutt hugger" I was referring to others. As for progress, you say we've made some, I say we haven't. It's all good, we'll find out soon enough. I don't think it's pessimistic to point out facts though. The fact is that on talent alone we are about on par with TAMU and IMHO our team is emotionally down right now and that will be the difference. Oh and I didn't expect us to beat Bama eitehr, but I didn't expect them to make us their bitches once again.

Not trying to bicker with you.

But...You mainly point out opinions, not facts. How do you conclude that it is a 'fact,' for example, that talent-wise we are on par with TAMU?

I have no beef with you having an opinion. Example:I have no idea about the emotional status of our team. You say we are 'down.' Guess we'll see.

As you've posted earlier, you see us as a 3 win team and I see us a bit higher than that.

In comparison, wasn't most hoggers on here saying something similar about Mallett being the #1 pigskin chunker in the country - pre Alabama game? Post Bama game, not anymore. I ain't got a dog in this hunt but logic tells me the Aggie O will do better against the Arky D than Mallett did against Bama. On the other hand, Aggie D ain't no Bama either. So where does this leave me - I guess with you boys continuing to make your case.

Carry on.

Houston beat A&M and I look for them to be pumped up and ready to play us. We need to get back to fundamentals and screen passes with off tackle runs --- leave the 40 -60 yard down field bombs until we can get some points and sustained scoring.

Doc, it just stands to reason that after letting Georgia come back from 17 down to win in Fayetteville one week and then basically having Nick Satan call the mercy rule against them the next week that they would be down. Also, Petrino himself stated that he didn't have the team believing they could win either of those games, well that also tells me the players don't have their heads on right. I don't know about us being a 3 win team, BUT if we don't manage to beat TAMU next week, it could be a disasterous season. Hell, I've even seen "analysis" that says Troy is better than TAMU so does that mean that if we lose to TAMU we have to worry about losing to Troy to? I really could see this team just self destructing at this point.

If you ask me, Mallett is the #1 Draft eligible QB in the nation RIGHT NOW.

Bama shut his wideouts down, bitch slapped his line, then came after him like no defense I have seen in my life. It wouldn't have mattered if Peyton Manning or Joe Montana was back there. When the entire offensive unit is out sync, it doesn't matter.
