Dream on. Vandy will never play in the West. We are an eastern-oriented School regardless of the fact we lay a little further west than Auburn. All our natural rivals are in the East with the exception of Ole Miss who we play annually anyway.

It was an easier SEC back then. Doesn't surprise me that playing a South Carolina team every year pre-Spurrier allowed Arkansas an easy win every season.

And given the weakness in perception of the Big 12 entering the playoff era, Texas would be willing to give Arky a lot to acquire the improvement of the perception "stealing" a SEC team would have on the conference.

You want your own network and a guarantee you will never play on Texas's network? Done.
You want a free exposure to state of Texas recruits? Done.
You want a division with Texas while OU heads some new Big 12 North? Done.
You want a 25 year or longer GOR? Done.
Arky could immediately jump back to where they were as a SWC program, or maybe even higher will all the concessions. On paper it is a great move for them.
BUT BUT BUT
Thank God our Arky friends are like us Aggies- they don't care about what it says on paper. Which is great as I would hate to lose a new SEC rival.

i've heard similar rumblings. Its really a move to be expected. we fit in much better with the big 12.
