Want to bet they try to stiff Chad Morris out of his $10 million buyout as well. The next HC had best insist on a guaranteed contract, or coach elsewhere.

Is Bielema holding up his end of the buyout deal?

It's definitely going to be a discussion that their future coach's agent is going to have to have with them. Might deter some top level coaches from considering arkansas.

I'm sure Bielema, will seek his day in court. How does Arkansas know for sure his agent wasn't putting out feelers to programs that he was interested in becoming their next head coach.

He was supposed to look for another job. He got another job. He did exactly what the contract said he agreed to do.

I mean...he is employed by an NFL team as a DL coach. How exactly is that, "not looking for another job?"

Are y'all just mad because the Patriots aren't paying him much money? Did the contract say anything about how much his employer had to pay him?

Let's get a few things straightened out around these nether regions.

1. he was required to search for a job that entails the same or close to $$$$ as what he was paid, and report those findings periodically. Didn't happen.
2. He publicly said something like, "Don't know if I will ever coach college again, don't have to recruit" and he was a HC of a college team, (Yes, we still are a university program believe it or not)
3. He falsified some of his reports to the university once they were checked out, (Yappers, Yappers, YaPpErS)
4. This will settle out of court, if he has brains. He could just keep his 4.5 million and shut up or he can lose some of that $$$$ back to the UofA.
5. The court to hear the case is in...…You guessed it, Arkansas, and in NW Arkansas to boot... DAYUMMM YA SAY???
6. He doesn't want some of the things known about him to come out during this small haymaker of a trial... Baggage he needs to lose, like the fat he lost after he stopped drinking a haymaker every night.

TLDR, well, remain ignorant then, it suits ya~

Again, Arkansas will be hurt in it's search for a new coach. So go after another Chad Morris type, on the cheap. No coach at a Power 5 school, will want to work for such a cheapskate. You fired him, pay him what you owe him. The truth is your prior AD is gone to Kansas, has hired Les Miles, and the current ARK AD lacks integrity. You want to attract a top notch coach, then clean up your house first. Notre Dame and Kansas both paid their buyouts to Charlie Weis after firing him. Again, it's about class, and Arkansas has none.

If this is the best you can do you might want to get a refund on that LSU degree.

Did he report this to the University?

We get this thread daily now from people who are very ignorant on the situation. Do you also know where the case will be tried? Key factor as well.

So the trial will be in Arkansas. Duh! It's not going to help you attract a better HC, when you refuse to pay what you owe. It makes everyone else in the SEC West very happy indeed.

By refusing to pay what the University owes the man. You chose to fire him, so pay him what you owe him. No coach with his record was going to get serious consideration as a HC at another University until he rehabilitates his reputation. He takes a job in the NFL wiht the Patriots to do just that. As did Schiano.

You do understand that there are terms in a contract, and that if those terms are not met, the contract is broken, correct?

Love lots how you ask that question after you acted as if you knew the answer. Typical rantard.

Oh Yeah! Houston Nutt, Bobby Petrino, Bret Bielema, and Chad Morris. You're recent hires have been such home runs.

Maybe alum Jerry Jones will send you Jason Garrett!
