Well people have been protesting.

Its the top 1% of americans make over 250k a year and the 99% who dont are pissed.they're just pissed because the government keeps helping the wealthy and whatever. The top 1% has like 40% of all the money and like 10% of all the debt

So everyone on wall street has signs saying "im the 99%" blah blah so Kappa Sig at UARK did this today to those people protesting at the corner.

I don't understand what you're so pissed about. These are necessary renovations, they're replacing pipes and shite, not just adding a wing to Walker Hall.

Marlon Blackwell is an amazing architect, but I kinda agree.

I think that they will be using the same limestone, and that the addition itself will be an amazing structure. Just a shame they put it right there.

That Kappa Sigma sign is funny. There's a lot of Occupy shite going on in Fayetteville. There's already a recurring Sunday drum circle on the Square and there have been a few protests. The big one is going on Oct 15, but I don't understand why they are going to protest on Dickson. I guess so everybody can get a beer while protesting.

Here's a link to Blackwell's site and more detailed renderings of the building. The only thing I really love about the addition is the top floor with views looking south to the mountains (pic 4).

Marlon Blackwell

Its the architecture building, and its a good school. It will improve the school's prestige.

The blessing in this project is that they are going to be restoring the historic parts of the building to their original condition, which should be amazing.

Meh..

Most of the buildings around campus are pretty bland anyway.

Can we at least get all that cocaine looking shite off the mechanical engineering building?

I've always wanted sections of campus to be different not a mix of all areas.

K. Why are then in Fayetteville? Why are their signs made out of cardboard, are they poor/homeless?

Do they think the 1% is standing around on a sidewalk during a work day or you know, trying to make money and shite?

The only thing worth talking about. Yes, the architecture school is a good school I just want them to stop taking 2 steps forward and one step back. Example the beautiful new Sorority House and Massive Campus gate entrance are beautiful then you scratch your head at this addition and it's placement....

It's nice and all, but don't slap it on the back of a gorgeous old building.

You would think this wouldn't be hard to remember....

The Blue buildings built many years apart look nice together.

The Red addition screws up the entire view at this area of campus.

If we are going to piggy back ultra modern buildings ontop of historical buildings lets take one from the Oral Roberts play book..

Oh, wait.. We can't even do that because they actually have a theme as ugly as it is.

it's all glass, the two rows have tint on them that looks like some weird wood shite and the glass tower in the back has fake iron arches mounted on it. Looks terrible in person.
