From some Michigan recruiting update today:

Jordan Diamond (Chicago, Illinois): The 6-foot-6, 290 pound Diamond is a 4-star prospect. The latest buzz on Diamond has him leaning towards Arkansas. He is also weighing offers from Michigan, Auburn, Ohio State, and Wisconsin.

Tennessee was not doing that in 1989 Cotton Bowl they had just begun to do that. They sustained it with one coach which can be a mirror image of Petrino.

I said nothing of the Johnny Majors era. I was talking about Tennessee's recruiting prowess from 1994-2002 under Phil Fulmer.

You do realize we didn't use red-shirt's this year. We have a class full in waiting. We haven't done that in 15 years... Petrino has layed a foundation.

Most programs that have installed a winning philosophy are not depending on each incoming class.

21-5 in 2 years within a division that has had 3 national titles is fantastic! I'll take it all day everyday. Some of y'all live in fantasy world.

Fantasy world? You're trying to convince this board that Arkansas is recruiting like Tennessee did during its run under Phil Fulmer from 1994-2002. It's clearly not. Now, Arkansas' model is working, but for other reasons. Frankly, I'm not sure I would want to compare my program to UT during those years. While they had success, it was moreso because of great assistants and superior talent. Arkansas is actually developing their talent for the long term.

Also the class is #20 on Scout and #22 on 24/7.

People fail to realize we are selling subscriptions to the nation and edge should lean to large fan bases.

Not to mention we went 21-5 in the toughest league ever with a mediocre defense.

Arkansas' recruiting class was re-ranked by SI as #6 after 4 years. Sounds about right considering that senior class finished 5th in the nation does it not?

Not among 12 teams. Texas A&M and Missouri haven't joined yet, and won't until July. If you won't to go that route, you're 8th.

It's pretty obvious to any college football fan top 25 in football categories is the bar.
Do you really think every team that's in the Top 25 is in the national spotlight? I'd venture to say most people can't even name the Top 10 teams on any given day. Arkansas is doing better lately, but national spotlight is kind of a stretch at this point. I they'll have to beat the big teams to gain a spot in the spotlight.

Foundation was laid for Fulmer.

Arkansas' recruiting class was re-ranked by SI and was set to finish at #6. That's seems exactly right considering this senior class finished #5 in the nation.

I'm explaining to people Arkansas copied the Tennessee business model since we have the same resources. We are very close in money, in-state talent and location. It's clearly working and we saw the end result with Tennessee was a national title. It's can clearly be done at Arkansas and we are building our way there just as Tennessee did for for 10 years before they won their national title in 1998.

All-time not just a weekly basis.

2010: #12
2011: #5

Currently, the Tennessee business model is working perfectly for Arkansas.

Alright Dale, I like you, but damn that's just dumb.

Those trophies sure are purty.

ETA:

This is a flame because there's no way around it. It's easy to say SEC titles aren't worth much when you don't have any.
