Arkansas and Georgia had the talent, but Bama was the only team with the conditioning to match up with LSU for 60 minutes.

Only the best athletes money can buy for Bama and Auburn.

Don't kid yourselves, you guys will never be on Bama's level either.
No question, prior to 1982, Alabama owned LSU and the entire SEC, but that is not the case anymore.
For the last 30 years, which is pretty much all that anyone who posts on this board has really followed college football, LSU has been Alabama's equal.
LSU and Bama are .500 head to head over the past 30 years (LSU has won 9 of the last 13 btw). Alabama has won 3 National Titles compared to LSU's 2. LSU has won 6 SEC Titles compared to Bama's 4. Alabama is 16-9 in Bowl games (2-2 BCS) (8-5 since 1995) compared to LSU's bowl record of 12-9 (4-1 BCS) (11-4 since 1995).
This century (since 2000) LSU has been the most successful SEC program.
LSU has an Overall Record of 123-33, a SEC record of 72-28, 5 SEC West Titles, 4 SEC Titles, & 2 National Titles.
Alabama has an Overall Record of 100-52, a SEC record of 59-39, 2 SEC West Titles, 1 SEC Title, and 2 National Titles.
So.........based on those stats, LSU is pretty much on Alabama's level and has been for quite some time now.

Laugh all you want Clown, but show me based on the accomplishments over the last 30 years how LSU is not.
This century, LSU has accomplished more than any other SEC program. So laugh all you want, but the facts show a different story than what you have in your head.

The century is only 12 years old.

With that logic, I'd say this is Alabama's decade.
