It in no way goes against reason at all.

U do realize it would be a 3-way tie, right?

Under your logic, LSU should be in front of bama Sunday and bama should be in front of Arkansas and Arkansas should be in front of LSU

U do realize this is not possible, right?

Arkansas fans are having a really hard time coming to grips with the reality of the situation. They do not seem to understand how the BCS formula works.

What a wonderful blanket generalization. The BCS formula is actually incredibly simple. For the umpteenth time, I don't care about winning the SEC. BCSNC > SECCG, simple as that. And if we beat LSU then we definitely have a shot at going to the national championship game.

Well that's just it. You can't. Unless UGA beats LSU.

Absolutely incorrect. There are way too many variables with the LSU/Arkansas game in of itself that will govern that.

Yes but not a great one. You would still require help.

Auburn to beat Bama sending you to the SECCG

or

UGA to beat LSU

Arky fans don't care if they get to go to the SECCG or not. they just want to beat LSU.

Right now that's what is at hand. Beat LSU and see what happens.

No it's correct. Its assuming LSU goes to Atlanta with a loss (pretty good assumption). IF LSU goes to Atlanta you have zero shot at a NC unless UGA beats LSU.

yes, yes, no

You guys using math to predict the outcome of the game, voters thoughts and predictions is very short-sighted

Hell...you might get blasted by Arky

I disagree. Too many variables and too difficult to predict voters until after our game is played.

I really don't see how this is that hard to understand.

We are already talking about likely scenarios and hypotheticals, lets not talk about Pig fantasies.

Once again, you are making assumptions about the outcome of the game, how handily one team beats the other, how the computers will interpret it, and how voters will interpret it.

WAY too many variables to justify any absolute right now. Simple as that.

what do you disagree with? that arkansas will go to atlanta over lsu. Im not denying that a possibility, it's just not a very good one.

yes this is based on the game being farely close. i figured that was obvious and didnt need to be stated.

No there is no assumption about this. LSU will have a huge advantage over Arkansas on Saturday even if Arkansas wins by 40. That is not conjecture, it's fact.

and how voters will interpret it.

again yes assuming it's a close game.

But if you dont go to Atlanta you have zero shot at making the NC game. Unless LSU loses to UGA.

That's just a fact.

Brad Edwards, LSUmatt, pretty much everyone who has run the #'s disagree with you. Unless Arkansas was to blow LSU out (which let's be serious for a second, who thinks that happens?).

You arbitrarily saying over and over that your assumptions are facts don't magically make them become facts. There is no concrete evidence that states that Arkansas would not go to the championship game unless Georgia or Auburn won. There simply isn't.

I'm not saying that is could definitely happen. I am simply saying that as of right now there are way too many variables, and that there is a possibility that we could be playing for it all with just a win over LSU. Feel free to disagree but you aren't going to change my opinion so I recommend that you don't waste your time.

Then you aren't a reasonable person.
