They'll always have that FWAA national championship from '64 to hold onto. That's about as close to a real national title as they're going to get.

True...and I follow that line of thinking. But I also would add that Arkansas has yet to win the SEC, or a BCS bowl to date...so winning a National Championship because Davis is coming back, seems like a stretch...but you do have LSU and Bama at home which makes winning the SEC is decent probability
I would also add that LSU beat Arkansas by 28 without a passing attack...a fumbled returned for a TD.
LSU is pre-season #1 this year...with likely a much better passing attack.

LSU fans need to learn their place? Arky is finally making waves in the 20+ years that they have been in the SEC and it seems that their position is going to their heads.
Telling someone to learn their place is a comment that those in superior positions get to use. Arky hasn't earned that right yet.
Get back to me when you guys win a SECC or BCSNCG. Until then, know your place.

The good news is, the year of the one time you played in one, you held the eventual National Champion under 70 points. Obviously, you contended for national championship that year.
