Most fans will say Fish, but it was Stoerner for me. We had struggled since 1990 and had never had a great team in the SEC. Nutt was in his 1st year and were 8-0, playing in Knoxville against the #1 team in the nation. Finally, we were over the hump and then the Stoernover happens. We don't even go to the SEC championship game and lose our bowl to end the season. I went from being on top of the world to not giving a shite.

My expectations were much lower against Florida, because I knew Nutt couldn't win championships now. Under Nutt, we lost every game that actually meant anything, but would win big games that didn't matter. The 2006 team was good enough to beat Florida, but it was only a matter of time until the Fish fumble, or some other mishap, would cost us the game and I knew that going in.

I remember the stoerner fumble well. I was rooting heavily for arky that game. I feel your pain, Florida has some plays too like the Matthews int in the 92 SECCG.

Stoerner and it’s not close for me. Although the Fish blunder was bad the Stoerner fumble was devastating.
