Guadalupe peak is not close to anywhere in Texas except for Van Horn. It might as well be in New Mexico.

To be totally honest, after living in the Big Bend area, as nice as it is...

If you are going to drive that far to get to the Texas mountains... you might was well go on to New Mexico because they are much nicer.

And as far as Arkansas goes? The Ouachitas of Oklahoma and Arkansas feel like refugee camps for Texans in the summer. In fact, all the tourist areas of southern Oklahoma basically make their living off of DFW people coming there because DFW.

Second, I can attest that NWA has a large amount of west coasters moving here, and people fleeing Austin. I had HH beers Friday with a slew of Austin-ites who were mostly here to look at property.

right.... not even close also. Fayetteville athens lexington nashville knoxville auburn and Oxford are lightyears ahead of college station texas.
