I know this wasn't their normal stadium.
But to only have less than 45k people for your season opener is bad.

Not a joke here, we can never go back to War Memorial Stadium, the stadium I grew up going to while falling in love with the Hogs
That ghetto trash city was not prepared for anything, even the basics of providing water for sale, and folks left to avoid medical issues of no water in that heat
I still have family in that God forsaken hell hole and I pray they get out, but alas they are there doing God's work by working in the medical industry for people who need it
the new "maverick!" mayor is nothing but an age old ghetto thief, supported by white rich and upper middle class idiots who live in the few safe neighborhoods

Arkansas fans have hated playing there for years now...why do they still do it? Sorta like OM and State playing in Jackson. So glad that doesn't happen anymore.

I mean, the stadium only holds like 51k, it was 100+ degrees against an opponent most had never heard of, 3 hours from campus.
Attendance was fine.
We only play there every other year so that’s nice.

Partially because some of the LR people are mad that they are slowly taking games away from that dump of a stadium nestled in the hood. We are losing money everytime they play there. While other teams like Bama and Ole Miss moved games back to campus years ago we gave LR games far longer than we should have. I get the history but that was back when it was a decent stadium in a decent area. I grew up in LR and hate going there now. In the past we needed central Arkansas because that is where the majority of the population lived. That is not the case anymore. 2024 will be the last game played there
