Notice that Emmert didn’t ask for limits on what coaches and administrators can make. Nor did he ask for “guardrails” on the NCAA in selling athletes for billions. He just asks for help in limiting what athletes can be allowed.

NCAA president Mark Emmert asks for 5 key elements in federal NIL law:
1 - Uniform national model
2 - Support of Title IX
3 - Pre-emption of state laws
4 - Maintain athletes' non-employment status
5 - "Limited safe harbor protection" from litigation for schools.
Yurachek's response: He also did not recommend limits on the salaries of men’s college basketball television analysts. But why let the hypocritical fact of your salary, received from profits made within in the current “collegiate model”, interfere with your narrative.

Actually, that was pretty stupid to even respond, much less saying what he said. Idiot.

Out of character for Yurachek. Not sure how I feel about it

Yeah...if normal people haven't learned by now that those with 'narratives' are consumed by them and stop at nothing to push them...well....you will :).

Not a good luck for the arkie AD. Bilas is paid to have an opinion in public.

Oh well, everyone makes mistakes.

You guys leave Jay Bilas alone, he is hip and down with it.
And he’s gotta go to work.

He has a very good point though

What should happen is all the AD and Conference just banning Bilas from working their games. Since he is tired of profiting off of student athletes.
There would be no reason for ESPN to keep Bilas, then he couldn’t profit off these athletes. Maybe Bilas will disappear without his daddy coach K to suckle from.
Yurachek shouldn’t have said anything, but quit pushing your holier than thou agenda when you are still making money off the blood you are complaining about. Athletes should be getting paid but until they get an exemption to remove money making programs from costly programs, there will be law suit after lawsuit. Hell the women’s soccer national team negotiated their own contract and are complaining they don’t make the same as the men’s.

I think his point was Bilas wouldn't have a job making so much money without the unpaid athletes he shares his opinion about but Bilas is not willing to sacrifice his large paychecks either
