How do you think Arkansas will do in back to back series at Ole Miss and at Florida?

Great..better read up on John Ham,Latarian ARhog, etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc....you simply can't deny your brethren's penchant for proclaiming SEC superiority w/o having won much of ANYTHING, SEC related...go back to that pitiful hogville site and massage each others damaged egos...LOL !

That is aways away so very hard to call.
A lot depends on if Baxendale gets it together and whether or not Stanek is moved to Friday's or not.
I'd like to think we can get 2 of 3 from Ole Miss regardless similar to MSU last weekend, but with Florida and in Florida I expect an LSU type series. Probably get shut down in Game 1 by Hudson Randall, and hope to win Saturday with Stanek as he's going to have us in any game he pitches, then probably lose Sunday, 1 of 3.

Yeah I base the Florida series completely off how Stanek does. We will lose games 1 and 3 for sure unless Bax gets his shite together.

Both series are going to be tough to win. Arkansas needs to win at least one of those series. I don't see how they can get a national seed if they lose 30% or more of their SEC series.
Just based on how the schedules set up the rest of the way, LSU will struggle to keep pace in the West (@UF,@UK,@OM,@SC).

I think our season completely rests on Bax's shoulders. If he gets his stuff back then we should be pretty tough to beat on Friday and Saturday's by anyone left on our schedule other than USCe or Florida. If he keeps pitching like he has the last three outings then we are in for a rough ride and could potentially only go. 500 the rest of the way.

So much baseball left to be played, against so many damn good teams. There is no telling what the standings and rankings are going to look like come SECT time.
#1 Florida - rubber game Sunday
#2 Stanford - avoiding sweep Sunday
#3 Arkansas - avoiding sweep Sunday
#4 FSU - going for sweep (on fire)
#5 North Carolina - rubber game Sunday
#6 Miami - avoiding sweep Sunday
#7 Texas A&M - rubber game Sunday
#9 SoCar - rubber game Sunday
#10 Kentucky - rubber game Sunday
You've got 3 of the Top 6 ranked teams in baseball avoiding sweeps at best tomorrow, with all but 2 others in the Top 10 in a rubber game.
I don't think anyone knows anything about these teams right now, and won't for many more weeks. Could be a big shakeup in the rankings come Monday depending on how those all shake out tomorrow.

Florida State will hang around all year because the ACC is so weak and they don't even play UNC. GT and Clemson are down. Miami is way overrated and they get them at home anyway.
I think we can write this weekend off as a bad one for Stanford. They already have series wins over Texas, Rice, Vandy, USC and Fresno. They'll get a national seed.
We know what Florida has. Series wins over Fullerton, @Miami, Vandy, @South Carolina. They also have good midweek wins over Florida State (2), UCF and FAU.
The Pac 12 teams should see a bump in the polls. Arizona, obviously, for taking a series from Stanford. They also have a series over Auburn and split 2 with Rice. UCLA is also playing very well. They have series wins over Baylor, Georgia and Arizona State already.
The rest of these teams though, you are right. They all have a lot to prove.

True, but FSU is always right there in baseball, regardless of the ACC. Not playing UNC is a joke, and Clemson exposed Miami this weekend (hope they complete sweep tomorrow).

I want to agree here, I really like Stanford, but at the same time I don't know. Vandy is currently right at the bottom of the SEC, and USC is now 3-5 in PAC 12 play (Utah/Wazzu to make it worse). Fresno is actually 13-12 and might not make the postseason. Texas started what, 4-10? While Rice is solid as always.

Agree'd, UCLA has dominated everyone they've played, remarkable given all they lost from last year. They've got Oregon/Arizona/Stanford/Oregon State all in a row coming up, should definitely know all about them soon.

Tough loss last night after a butt whipping Friday. Hope we can put things together this afternoon to avoid the sweep.
I haven't kept up with LSU's roster that much this year, but realized that I grew up with Raph Rhymes dad and aunt in Monroe and know his grandparents very well. If heredity is anything then I'm sure he is as fine a young man has he is a hell of a baseball player. He comes from a first rate family.
Oh well, good luck to both teams today and the rest of the year.

What the last two weekends have shown me...
We are a top 15 team if Bax sucks it up on Friday nights.
We are in need of putting Bax on Sundays instead of fridays. He needs to pitch for a while with no pressure.
Stanek is our best starter, period. He doesn't need to be throwing the 2nd game. He needs to be utilized against the opponents ace. This also preserves our bullpen for the rest of the weekend.
Butler needs to start doing his job or hit the road. No excuse for our batters not being able to lay down a bunt.
For this team to make a legit run, Bates, Fico, Bax, Morris all need to start playing like they can. We will not get past game 2 of a Super with these guys playing poorly. This team has the talent to make a serious run, but if they keep playing like they have, in the end, the year will be wasted.

What if you lose 1 of the first 2? You don't think a rubber match against a probably ranked team is pressure?
