Derp. Just because they lack the appropriate amount of mindless rednecks doesn't mean the definition of the Southern region gets thrown out. But...to a mindless redneck I guess anything goes.

How do you define redneck there chief? The way that post came across would certainly meet one or two of the criteria.

Someone that thinks Orlando isn't the "South" because it's not his idea of what the South should be. How does my previous post indicate that I'm a redneck? I missed a comma and used conversational tone, instead of a more formal technique. Those things don't indicate that a person is a redneck.

Haha dude I can debate writing techniques all day....I'd rather get a case of shiner and a quarter of the Kush that killed Elvis.

Just because a town isn't white and "Dixie Proud" enough doesn't mean it's physical location is changed. I guess I'm the first poster in rant history to argue semantics....shame on me.

no rednecks over here brah.....just messicans

parkjas - you should draw a map of what you define as "The South". I'm not claiming Texas as deep south or old south, but if you think the geographical cutoff area as far west as Dallas down I35 and cut over southest to Victoria is not southern culture aligned then you've probably just been in the major cities here.

Atlanta, Birmingham, and Jackson are probably the worst cities (Birmingham the least offensive of the three).

Pretty flexible on "major city", aren't we? "South", too, for that matter.

Try:

Atlanta
New Orleans
Nashville
Miami, if you're going to count that as "south", I call it "Cuba".

Orando is in the South, it's not a Southern town.

A) it's too big and sprawling - Atlanta is there too
B) it's got too many foreigners and Yankees - kills any chance it had of being "Southern"
C) Their traffic turns everyone into raging Yankees even if they weren't already
D) It's not on a navigable body of water or river - like Atlanta

Atlanta is only southern by it's heritage and not by it's current state IMO.

The use of the word 'disappointed' in this question made me laugh. I get so disappointed thinking about the SEC being indoors, it really puts a damper on my day.

I bet you've never been to Miami. It's a great town and the Cubans are awesome. It's not southern though.

For the record, if they felt the SECCG needed improving, then the SEC would have tried to give Arthur Blank and the Falcons a push to build the new stadium a little north on I-85 in Gwinnett County and still played the game in "Atlanta".

We're about to have the sphincter bowl after all, don't think Houston can compete with that damn grounded UFO.

I can dig it.

But what does that mean for Mizzou?

I've always thought the SECCG should be in the stadium of the team with either the best record or highest ranking.

For the record...none of you answered whether you were disappointed or not

Me? You can hop on off that high horse because I have indeed been, probably more times than you have. Love Cuban food. South Beach is probably my favorite place in the world to experience Halloween.

Quit assuming shite just because I stated a fact about the culture of a city. Especially one you turn around an agree with. The city is not southern, it is Cuban.

I've no issue with Cubans, for the most part. Love Cuban food, at least what I've had of it. If I'm going to hate on a group of people in Miami due to how shitty the ones I met were, I'll be hating on Haitians.

Well I live in Dallas and every single person here will tell me that Texas is not the South...it is Texas. I agree.

The South is Louisiana, Miss, Alabama, Ga, SC, NC, Virg, Tn, Kent, and Arky.
