Lock will have to put up some video game stats every game to win games.

And he’s proven that he’s inconsistent doing that against P5 defenses. He’s shown the capability, just can’t sustain it.

Did you forget Dooley? He is the OC because he is bringing some of his knowledge from his time as a Dallas cowboys receiver coach. Will help with balancing the offense. Also The defense is much better and that the offense will not be all long balls and that will help rest the defense players. Missouri is going to be much improve from last year.

While I agree Defense is still worrisome, the worry comes from the secondary. Should have a good front 7

but after last season, surely you understand why people are taking a wait and see approach, right?

I mean the defense was really, really bad last season.
An average defense and Missouri would have been a highly ranked team.

Ya, it sucked having a fast tempo offense AND a bad defense.

More often than not they go hand in hand. Most uptempo offenses give up a lot of points.

This is what most MIZ fans are doing from what I've seen.

Overall, the D should perform better than last year, but to what degree.... ???

Didn't they lose their OC to last season's national championship winner?

o I 100% cant fault them for taking that approach. Im just saying Im pretty confident in that this mizzou team is much, much improved from last year.

As I noted in another post. Mizzou had a fast pace offense. You cant be doing that when you have a bad defense. We're going back to a traditional offense, with more of a power running game. This should help with the high TO that our wr's caused last year, and keep the defense off the field more.

You have the LSU 2016 offense

60 points vs scrubs 3 vs Purdue?

Why do you think Odom wanted someone on the offense with coaching experience at the Pro level? It helps with Dooley getting an opportunity to put in some pro style plays to help balance the offense and make it a much better team against good to great teams. The Defense was lost due to DC Cross. He was gone mid way through the season last year. That is when Missouri started to win and played better on defense.

You might be right. He also might be the best hire this off-season. Only time will tell.

That is the question. When that is answered, we will know how good your team will be.

I was a huge critic and skeptic about Missouri's late season surge last year, because the competition was really, really weak last half of the season.

I hope you guys do well....and like I said earlier....I think you could change out Missouri, South Carolina and Florida in the #2 slot.

How do you know? Did you interview him? Barry did and he said he was blown away when he interview him.

I think Games are won on the field and not in an office.

When was Dooley running an office?

The point is he was the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver coach for five years. That will help Missouri with his knowledge and make some offense changes to some pro style offense in the mix. This is what Drew Lock want to help make Missouri a more balance offense than what Josh Heupel ran last year.

I guess you are dumb to think he cannot improve and was the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver coach for 5 years. and have learned a lot and so this is why he is the OC and bring in some knowledge from the NFL to help make it more efficiency against good defense at the college level. Will Muschamp suck at Florida and the second time around he is doing pretty good at South Carolina. He is not going to be the head coach.
