Why does Mizzou winning 10 games in 2023 and 2024 signal some sort of massive shift to Mizzou fans but this stretch didn't?

Who did that slow roster turnover benefit?

Schools that developed players. All levels.

Take lower tier schools. Back in the day if a school built up a dude for 3-4 years and made him a great player, they got the benefit of that player for 4th/5th year. Now that player transfers and ends up at a school like Alabama.

Higher tier schools could develop players also and keep them around until their final years.

Now development is lacking and the players are getting worse overall.

The schools with money

The schools with money have always been spending money on things like the best coaches, the best facilities, the best support systems, etc.

There has never in the history of the sport been a limit on spending. If you had it, you'd have already been spending it.

What is the difference between that time period and now?

You were winning then and you're winning now, you actually sustained it for longer in that time period than you have so far current day.

Do any of you rather have the current situation with your football program right now with the NIL and the transfer portal rule change being setup? I do.

Absolutely.

Mizzou is killing it.

7-16 against the AP Top 25 and 1-9 vs. the AP Top 10.

Without it Mizzou would be unranked most years. So far Mizzou is playing as a top 20 ranked team and how did LSU do so far this year? Drinkwitz has improved the team's roster talent plus playing much like a top 20 team.

If LSU played Mizzou's schedule, they'd win 10 games every year too.

LSU has faced the #10 SOS and has 3 losses, Mizzou has faced the #31 SOS and has 2 losses.

Poor Mizzou fans don't realize most of the reason for their "success" is the result of playing shitty opponents.

But when Mizzou plays "good teams", they're 7-16 against the AP Top 25 and 1-9 vs. the AP Top 10.

That has nothing to do with your NIL claim.

You do know those 'rankings' aren't the end all be all right?

Wins and losses as we all know is the end all be all.
