This thread is tough to read.

Arkansas fans need to have some goddamn self-respect. Christ this is embarrassing.

Much prefer Bret. Gus is a sanctimonious hypocrite, always has been.

right here. Because Bret is old school run oriented football, no frills, or gimmacks tried and true football. Gus, while he is having his moment in the sun, is much like all the other gimmack coaches. Defenses will adjust and he will fade away.

I would still take BB over Gus. There are a few reasons why but it all comes down to I like the style of play better (I am not 60 years old though, just 26). I am actually from NWA and knew GM way before most on this board did. I respect GM playbook and style, but it isnt my taste.

Sure BB may not win as many games, but as a mature adult who doesn't need my football team to win in order to have a happy life, I am ok with it. Additionally, he seems to genuinely care about players and coaches (not that GM doesn't), which is a refreshing thing for Arkansas fans to see.

Easily Bret over Gus.

Gus would damage the university and result in greatly lowered donations (and I'm not just talking athletic).

There's a reason Gus was never considered for the job and that he had to accept a job at an inferior institution.
