Why would we be mad? Everyone knows how the Heisman is regarding defensive players. The fact that he got invited to NY is equivalent to winning in my mind.

Tidefans seems convinced that the only reason TR didn't win was b/c Heisman voters were upset that Bama got into the NC game.

Haven't seen an LSU fan upset at all - no one thought he had a chance to win, just glad to see him get the trip. And to see Les and Nick sitting next to each other.

I had hoped HB7 would get 4th, not 5th, but that's hardly a big deal.

Umm....We really aren't mad, I'm thrilled he was invited. Not many defensive players are even invited.

I was hoping he would come in third or fourth, but I'm not disappointed. Glad he got recognized.

Nice try on the flame, but no 99% of Tiger Fans knew he wasn't going to win and it was just awesome he got invited.

they shouldnt be. He should have not even been invited. Anyone who gets suspended (especially for something like that) shouldnt even get a thought.

No, I believe all the delusional BAMA fans were pissed that TR3 didn't win. The right person won

I have not seen that around here at all.... I think its a huge accomplishment he was even invited as a Soph. But, it was very deserved, the guy makes a huge impact for his team.. and that is what the reward is all about..

THis from Heisman.com "The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work.

The key word here is INTEGRITY. IMHO nobody that get suspended is representing their school and the sport with integrity. Especially if they get suspended for smoking an illegal or banned substance.

No indeed. We are all thrilled he was acknowledged. I don't think anyone thought he would win. I wouldn't ask the Bama fans the same question about TR.
