I'm glad he got invited and got some well deserved attention/hype. He's the best college football player in the country right now, but I think most fans understand the Heisman doesn't always work out that way.

this year it was great that he was there. next year he wins it, his suspension probably doesn't even come close to cracking the top 10 bad things heisman winners have done.

Next year the media hype should be off the charts early on for him so hopefully LSU gets better in the pr department at pushing heisman hopefuls and he can win it.

THis from Heisman.com "The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work.

The key word here is INTEGRITY. IMHO nobody that get suspended is representing their school and the sport with integrity. Especially if they get suspended for smoking an illegal or banned substance
Last year's winner was arrested and left UF under less than desirable circumstances. Oh, and the 3rd place finisher last year, LaMichelle James, was suspended for the first game last year. So, the Heisman has a short history of condoning such behavior.

And to answer the original question, I'm not mad. I was glad he was invited but I knew he wouldn't win the trophy; the invite was the win.

I know and it pissed me off last year. Im just glad that RG3 won. As far as I know he is a good upstanding man. THe heisman candidates should exemplify excellence and good character on and off the field.

an tm7 does that, the kid made a mistake breaking team rules but he does plenty of off the field charity work that doesn't get highlighted by the media.
