quote:Yes we usually recruit very well at the qb position. Right now we are in one of the 'hiccup' years waiting for the stud to get out of high school.
I would love to have UGA's QBs

What numbers are you expecting from Brice Ramsey in 2015?
Just curious.

I'm not sure he starts the whole season. Only thing that I've liked about him is his arm. But in the limited action he forces the ball too much and has thrown into double/triple coverage a lot. If he can cut this out then he would probably be the clear cut winner. It seems like a lot of players are backing Faton and you gotta love his heart for wanting to play w/ no green jersey on during the G Day games.
I just see it as a down year for our qbs, where we run the ball most of the time like last season. I could see Mason like stats w/ more int's if Ramsey starts. He probably will get more passing yds assuming he can be accurate on the deep passes.
What do you expect?

He is a great COLLEGE QB guru, but his teachings DO NOT equate to the professional game

Bobo was damn good at UGA. But does Richt get credit here too?
B Kelly at ND
Whoever was in charge of qbs at Ohio St did a fricking amazing job w/ the 3rd stringer. Could Richt have done that?
Fisher at FSU
K Sumlin at A&M.
J harbaugh at Michigan would probably know a thing or two about what it takes to be a good qb.
What's really sad here is that LSU has more league wide QBs than these guys
Posted on 6/7/15 at 12:40 pm to DawgGONIT
Not really. Richt and Bobo have taken some pretty average athletes and made exceptional college QB's out of them. Stafford was really the only pro level QB that Richt has had over the years.

I want to see your numbers. You call it a hiccup year at QB. Throw down a prediction to better define what hiccup means.
There is no right or wrong, right now. Just guesses.
What is your guess for TDs, INTs, %, yards, and yards per attempt.

You mean pro-style attack with the quarterback making multiple reads and often lining up under center? Yea, doesn't translate well at all...

quote:No he is talking about the qbs that Richt has coached. Stafford is the only one to start in the NFL and he still has problems with his mechanics.

............
So which qb do I predict the stats for?

Bledsoe, D Brees, Jason White, Sam Bradford, Case keenum and Jonny Manziel. That is an insane amount of talent.
Posted on 6/7/15 at 2:45 pm to DawgGONIT
But those guys have talent. He didn't do much to coach them up because he didn't have to.
See how your logic is shite?

All excellent choices. I'm not sure I'd put Kevin Sumlin or Kelly above Richt though.

Be patient. DGD is not always around so it may be a few days.

Ugh... Sumlin was nothing more than a GA at both Purdue & Washington St while these guys were there. Credit to their development goes to Joe Tiller, not Kevin Sumlin.

Casey Weldon
Charlie Ward
Chris Weinke
David Greene
Matt Stafford
Aaron Murray
That's an impressive list of proteges. I'm not sure how you can be overrated with a list like this.

So Richt has done more with less. Only one of his QBs was "NFL talent" and yet he had at least six who excelled in college.

I never actually thought of him as a QB guru. I thought of him as a really good coach who knew how to utilize good quarterbacks and had a great track record for recruiting them.

Didn't know he was a guru. Can he levitate?

For 2015... whomever you think plays.
If you doubt it is Ramsey, you are crazier than I originally thought.
