I hate like hell what harvey did.
But, IMHO there is a huge opportunity for some AU folks to capitalize on this tragedy.
What better way to memoralize the toomer's oaks than to build a landmark bar in honor of them? Have the "Oak Room" set aside as a shot bar - - - the opportunities are endless.

Thing is, in the "downtown" area, there is no land to build. All the property owners will not sell and its very hard for them to even allow large remodels.
Directly across is "The Vault" formerly bodega, etc... The owner of that property also owns a few buildings past Bourbon street and the parking directly behind them. He has been trying to take down the building for a bit now, with no success and he is the property owner.
It would be great but very hard to do. Auburn needs a better gimmick bar than Sky Bar
