This is the thing. Also, there have been a lot of comparisons to Saban from inside the athletic office as far as his attention to detail involving the entire program from facilities to recruiting, promotions, you name it and fans really love that.

Yes there's a lot of cheating going on and most everyone knows it. The difference is your guy got caught red handed. Once you get caught you man up, admit your team cheated, fire the coach and move on to the next one. You guys are actually defending him. That's what's hysterical.

I just don't care that he cheated and the FBI probe may involve up to 40 schools, maybe more. I don't see the reason to get rid of him if that happens.

Yes, he didn't even make it thru two seasons and he's already been anointed their new Jesus. And the worst part is they don't think he should be held accountable- it's someone else's fault for his stupidity.

Not all, but some for sure. The main difference is there aren't FBI wiretaps on those teams. Stop trying to blame other schools for LSU's misfortune. It's not a defense.
That's like saying "Hey, OJ Simpson got away with murder, so I shouldn't be convicted for murder."

Let's rethink comparing murder to widespread cheating in college basketball. It's so widespread that the FBI had to come in to clean it up. This isn't just a handful of schools.

You missed my point. The point is, you can't use the defense that "well others are doing it, so don't punish me."
That's what a lot of LSU fans have been saying. The main difference between LSU and those other schools right now is that they aren't on a wiretap.

Because if he does so, then the defense could also subpoena anyone he talks to. It's a good thing for everyone that he isn't talking to them. Plus, let's face it, he did do something wrong. I just don't care because in order to win championships you have to cheat. Our football program has been doing it for years and so has yours. You think Nolan Richardson won all of those games without giving players extra benefits?

Yet. We have no idea what else is out there yet. The Dawkins defense team has been leaking this stuff. I would have to imagine more runners were tapped and IIRC there are around 4000 hours of recordings.
I'm not saying don't punish us if a couple people get caught. I'm saying if there really are 40 or 50 schools in this, then vacate our wins, dock a couple scholarships and let's move on with Wade at LSU.
