Yes.

They are playing bad arse right now - and like always, when we go to an opposing gym - it's like a Super Bowl atmosphere for them.

I just hope that since it's likely the last 2 regular season games as Wildcats, Patterson, Wall and Cousins bring it real big.

Man, I sure hope so. I always love to see that arrogant fan base have to endure a loss. Just makes my day. Go Dawgs.

A little conceided are you? I remember our first sec game of the year was at kentucky and we had a shot at winning... so ofcourse there is a possibility of beating them in Athens. Anyone remember UGA beating Kentucky in rupp on their senior day?

Someone obviously feels threatened by this little old UGA team.

Of course they can. They should've won at Vandy and they were in the game at Rupp until the very end. UK should win this game but we all know how it is on the road in conference. UGA isn't world beaters but how in the hell are they 5-9?

Absolutely, Georgia is a solid team with an all SEC caliber player in the post. Expect to see the zone from UGA, and if Kentucky doesn't start shooting better the score is going to be a lot closer than the talent disparity.

I still think Kentucky wins though.

It's unlikely but it could happen. Thompkins will have to have a monster game, the other bigs are going to have to own the glass and Leslie, Mcphee and Ware are going to have to be hot from the perimeter but if all of thoe things happen they could be in it late with a chance to win.

Yes, but I'd call it about 6-1 against it happening...

I really hope Georgia wins. Anything for Slimy Cal to lose.

There's a very good chance. As an above poster pointed out, I'm sure we'll in our 3-2 (yes, 3-2, not 2-3) zone most of the game. UK better knock some down from long range. Our post players defend and rebound really well. Neither Thompkins nor Leslie can get in foul trouble, though.

Of course there's a chance. Hell, we were down 2 with a minute to go in Lexington in our first conference game. We certainly haven't gotten worse since then. We also play awesome at home, so sure there's a chance. Now, I'm not gonna say we're going to win just yet because our program isn't at that level quite yet. But I damn sure expect us to be competitive and it to be a close game.

Why would anyone run a 3-2 against Kentucky? Cousins and Patterson will absolutely murder that, and kill UGA on the offensive boards more than normal. Why not just run a 2-3 and pack the paint and hope Kentucky continues to shoot like shite?

I'm thinking the game will be a lot like the Miss State game in Starkville going down to the wire. I wonder how the Refs will call this game? In UK's favor or give UGA a chance?

I assume we run a 3-2 rather than a 2-3 for a few reasons:
A. Ware and McPhee would get abused because they aren't athletic enough to realistically compete in SEC play.
B. At 6'4, Leslie would be abused in the paint.
C. Our post D/Rebounding with Thompkins/Jackson is one of the stronger parts of our team.

This combined with an occasional Man D to throw them off was pretty effective the 1st time around:

Wall 5-14
Bledsoe 4-13
And we outrebounded them...but Cousins scored 7 in the final 3 mins to bury us
