I really wish that was true. We’d be in over Penn State, Notre Dame and Indiana if that was the logic.

And same with Texas - out with another loss? Are we sure about this one

0 Top 25 wins will do that to you.

Also, recency bias. The committee will be much more forgiving for early season losses. Late season losses are harder to overcome.

I hope this holds true. If Texas doesn't beat A&M, I don't want to "media darling" our way into the playoffs. We earn it or we go home.

They want Bama in the playoff. That's why they'll be ahead of Tennessee.

Alabama has 4 top 25 wins. Tennessee has 1. And their losses will be basically the same (Top 10 road game, 6-6/7-5 road game upset). Tennessee winning a close home game doesn't negate that big a gap in resume. And if they "wanted" Bama in the playoffs they'd be above empty calorie resumes like frickin Miami right now.

You can survive a loss to A&M and we all know that they will find a way to get you into the playoffs

A&M is done if they don’t pull the upset which I don’t think they can do at this point

So it really doesn’t matter

I don't think so. This ain't the Big 12. If they try to push Texas in after a loss, there will be other deserving SEC teams raise hell. And they should.

So y’all say Tenner is out of consideration with 2 losses? Why - losing to Arky? And same with Texas - out with another loss? Are we sure about this one

They dropped Georgia out of the top 12 with their second loss and they have the toughest SOS and two big wins over top-25 opposition. Will be three if they beat Tennessee. Easy to see why two-loss Texas and Tennessee would drop below them.

That used to be their logic when it was a 4 team playoff.

Yep pretty sure Texas is out if they lose to A&M unless they have a tiebreaker to make the SECCG if GA beats TN.

2) Ole Miss - Not sold on them even finishing with two losses, but not a big enough brand to get in ahead of other schools and that Kentucky loss is bad

They are a usce loss away from having to worst resume out of two loss sec teams.

They’ve been inconsistent in their own logic. One committee member a few years ago literally said and I quote “we like the way they play as a team”. That’s so unbelievably stupid that’s something a woman would say. They’ve already contradicted their own logic this year. They said they rated Indiana highly because of margin of victory but they’ve got Penn State in front of them who only beat Bowling Green by 7. It’s a joke
