Another pro vs college viewpoint I’ve not seen

Let’s say you are on college roster. You are maybe 2 or 3 deep awaiting your turn to take over for starter if he gets hurt or graduates.
Worked your arse off and learned thru hard work year round and patience/trust in program. Then your team decides to bring in a pro at your spot. All the sudden you might lose your depth spot because the team brought in a pro.
I think this could backfire and maybe cause some great depth to leave after season knowing team could do it again next year. After all your work and waiting the team hired a pro to basically jump the line ahead of you.
Curious how this shakes out longer term. Players might hesitate wanting to transfer to a school who brought pro’s in. And if they being in pro that means you get way less NIL money as its given to pro vice you.
So many moving parts and will be interesting how it shakes out. I think teams taking a pro player might see future ramifications from it. If I was a school talking to a good portal player or recruit, I’d mention how team X is known to bring in pro’s to jump the line. Could be used to negative recruit portals and recruits.

They would have never been there as the "pro players" would have stayed in school had the NCAA not fricked up and made the rule 3 weeks after the NFL draft.
The NCAA is to blame for this ENTIRE debacle.

Well, Lane for one addressed this in his press conference last week. Told the team there are no guarantees. We got a 3 star from wisconsin that came in and stole rb1 from 2 highly recruited guys that stayed from last year. 2 guys that werent too bad. The best players will play. All the player interviews they seem to respect it and we havent had any parents tweeting about playing time like texas. They getting paid so they should act like pros. So....only time will tell. But sounds like more wishcasting

Another drama queen.
The 2023 class will have a 5th year choice before declaring.
